Best Financial Advice in the UAE: Don’t give out personal loan

Doesn’t matter family, friend, co-worker, old friend, neighbor’s dog, or your cousin’s third aunt.

If you’re going to give money to someone, just consider it money that you won’t ever need. You don’t have to tell that to the person, but let it be clear to yourself you’re not going to see that money. Don’t give more than you can manage - especially if it’s your life savings or whatever emergency funds.

Just the sheer number of instances and posts here related to “I gave a loan, and I haven’t been paid” is painful to read.

I work as a Sr. Data Scientist at a DSP and have one advice: Please do not use a generic credit names

I cannot emphasize how painful it is for me to figure out how to disambiguate one "DOLLA$" artist from another "DOLLA$" artist who both happen to do Hip Hop and who both happen to publish from CD Baby. No amount of ML model is going to save you from this problem - even if I use time range, I cannot find enough wiki data or sources to help you.

And don't get me started among Indian, Persian, Arabic, and all the Caucus '-stan' countries who have artists by the name of "Habib". My goodness lord 😂

Academic resources about the Baha'i Faith and Jesus Christ/Christianity

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for list of academic literature that describes any/all relationships between Baha'i Faith and Christianity or Jesus Christ. Doesn't matter if it's an apologetic or criticism, any reference is a good reference.

I'm working on an encyclopedic project and just want to source the references carefully. I've already gotten some high level insights from Buck, Lambden, Cole, etc. But I think I need more covering themes like:

  • Station of Jesus
  • Progressive revelation and the unity of the prophets
  • Divinity, sonship, and the Trinity
  • Baha'i Faith and its stance towards the Gospel
  • Resurrection and ascension
  • Return of Christ and eschatology

Baha'i sources are plentiful, and I've already used Ocean + BahaiWritings.app to source as much as I can. But I need more academic sources for my efforts and I'm hoping some of y'all have a better set of references. I wish I could've also parsed through ABS or the European equivalent to find any other form of scholarship work, but curious if you're aware of any more on the said topics.

Thank you!

Smart Sync doesn't show songs I listened to that aren't in any of my playlists

https://preview.redd.it/tg74l616uq2h1.png?width=1474&format=png&auto=webp&s=7f9d4d1e6976256fbe884ee8fcf67cdf664ae19a

The logic of my sync is fairly simple where I want to limit to 10 items that I most recently played, but it only surfaces songs that I exclusively have in any of my playlists, and not instances where I browse a song in a different album but I haven't committed to adding them to my library or playlist.

Any way around this?

Female pop artists embracing rock - Poppy, Dead Pony, Charlotte Sands and now Charlie XCX

I work at a streaming service company, and noticed a trend of pop-centric female lead bands or artists shifting towards more rock music starting from end of last year to present. Sometimes these pop artists also brush against metal.

Reminds me of the era with Alanis Morissette, No Doubt, and Garbage gaining momentum given the popularity of Grunge music and also when the music scene was primarily dominated by Madonna/Gloria Estefan-like pop artists.

Maybe it's just a blip and not a trend. But curious what y'all think
