ConfirmID with no photo ID

Our flight is scheduled for next week. We paid for the ConfirmID fee a few weeks ago. My dad doesn't have any photo ID. However, he once did.

For those who don't have any photo ID, how difficult will it be to confirm his identity? That's what I'm worried about.

I was told to forget extra documents (Social Security card, voter registration, etc.) and just bring the receipt. I'm looking for people who have went through this process.

Holden Caulfield may have been bullied at school, and resented traditional masculinity

Everyone has an opinion on Holden Caulfield in The Catcher in the Rye. Some see Holden as an angsty kid trying to find his way in the world, while others find him to be the archetype of the proto-incel.

There are a few clues throughout the book that are not discussed that relate to how Holden views masculinity, and his relationships with his male peers.

When Mr. Antolini gives his "great fall" speech, he tells Holden, "It may be the kind where, at the age of thirty, you sit in some bar hating everybody who comes in looking as if he might have played football in college." Mr. Antolini intuitively understands that Holden does not relate to traditional masculinity and the expectations around masculinity. Therefore, he thinks that Holden is going to look at stereo-typically "macho men" with resentment.

At the beginning of the novel, Holden constantly puts down Ackley. This is obviously related to Holden's complex about having to be better than everyone. Yet, Holden chooses to take Ackley to the movies because he feels sorry for him. I think Holden related to Ackley to some extent if he didn't realize it.

When Ackley is complaining about Ward Stradlater, Holden goes out of his way to defend him. And yet, when they interact, it's clear that Holden hates Stradlater's guts and Stradlater looks down on him, like he would to a kid like Ackley. Holden is simultaneously trying to separate himself from kids like Ackley in defending Stradlater despite the fact that he has more in common with Ackley than Stradlater. Holden is simply not the popular jock at Pencey Prep, and he is not "above the fray" as he thinks he is in a relationship to the loser types.

The final clue is why Holden feels connected to Mr. Antolini. Mr. Antolini was the one teacher who picked the kid up when he committed suicide because he was being bullied. It's very briefly mentioned, but it's a sign to Holden that Mr. Antolini isn't a "phony" who can be seen as someone who lacks empathy. Holden felt an identification with the kid. Others have argued that they may have been closer than Holden lets on, and with his relationship with Ackley, that supports that.

Regardless, Holden Caulfield was a kid who identified with the outcasts at Pencey Prep despite trying to separate himself from it. He had more in common with the boy who committed suicide or Ackley than Stradlader, and Holden compensates for this by labeling everyone a phony.

I'm curious about everyone's thoughts.
