fun little challenge to make use of a scrap piece of lino! we’ve been getting so much rain here in NY - mushrooms are even growing out of my deck :’) ooh boy
A memorial piece inspired by the love for my dad. 💛
“there is a light that never goes out”
I lost my father 13 years ago as of last week, and I miss him lots. I thought the feeling would fade with time, but I realize there will always be a light in my heart that shines with love for him, and sadness for the future we didn’t get to have.
I was wondering for others who name their pieces if they would recommend titling it on the back, writing the title on the front like I did with the first print, or omitting it altogether. I plan to gift a couple of these to other lights in my life & perhaps sell others and am curious if it’s better to leave the title off or it’s just the artist’s preference?
Thank you, I appreciate any recommendations.
beetle! beetle! beetle! I love this print, and I’ve been putting it everywhere.
My uncle said he filed off the sides because it didn’t fit through his coffee cup lid.
Inspired by the giant stag beetle. New to linocut, and really falling in love with the craft. I would really appreciate encouragement after family not really understanding printmaking and responding negatively towards the subject of bugs. Thank you! ❤️ I admire everyone’s works on here and hope to find my style/groove/audience with time.
