


Lost red waterproof sling bag in AMS Schiphol Airport (11/4 22:15)
Left a red coloured, waterproof sling bag at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport on 11/4 around 22:15
KLM cabin crew contacted the airport and informed that my bag had been delivered to Lost & Found department. He guaranteed that it only takes 1-2 days on average for lost item notification. So I agreed to depart without retrieving my bag.
I filled in the Lost & Found form and browsed the Schiphol iLost website everyday. It has been a month, but I still can’t find any matching items.
Schiphol Airport Lost & Found department claimed that they never received my item.

‘the info that your bag had been located was provided by KLM cabin crew, so KLM should be responsible for investigation’

Both sides were deflecting responsibility and provided conflicting information. I have no idea whether the KLM flight attendant lied to me, or AMS Schiphol staff mishandled my item.
It’s very frustrating. Did KLM train their staff not to give any empty promises or give false/unsure information to passengers?
