Moved to Hervey Bay!

Hiiii. I’ve been in Hervey Bay for almost a month now. As an Asian woman, I find it really hard to make friends or connections. Now I felt too depressed about moving here. I came here for work. I love the place btw, it’s a paradise for me. I tried connecting into local groups on facebook but they all gather on the weekends and I’m working🥲 I can’t find any sub that connects people in this place. Has anyone got an idea? Or anyone who just moved here as well looking to connect? I don’t wanna go for dating apps as I’m not looking to be involved in any kind of fuckery. I’m so scareddddd!

29 [F4M] looking for someone genuine

Hi. I’m 29, Asian. I know how weird this is. Posting on a group instead of actually meeting people outside and experiencing organic encounters. Dating apps terrify me. I have a hectic schedule from work and I realised that I don’t really have the time to socialise much. But it’s frustrating to be alone all the time while dealing with adulting. I like to take things slow. I wanna make sure we really are on the same page or mindset before I sign up for a relationship. I don’t sleep around either. I don’t want short term fun and see how we go. I feel emotions too deep and I don’t wanna end up in a mental distress.
I’m a Chef so definitely I’m a big foodie. I’m very chill but I hate camping or anything that feels like a survival challenge. My job is already physically demanding enough, so when I’m off work I’d rather relax, eat good food, grab coffee, explore somewhere nice or do something fun without exhausting myself. I’m pretty easygoing but I definitely need just good conversation, good energy and someone who actually enjoys spending time together. I love travelling too! Local or international.
Not looking for something casual or someone who’s just bored and wants company. Ideally, I’d like to meet someone who is intentional, emotionally mature and genuinely looking to build something if we click. ❤️

Moving to Mt Isa

Hi everyone. I’m an Asian 29F signing up for a new job in Mt Isa. I’ll be moving around the 3rd week of July to Lanskey from Brisbane. I literally don’t know anyone there. I’m scared but excited to be in a new community. I’d love to meet new people and get involved in the community. Are there any local groups, clubs, sports, fitness classes, volunteering opportunities, social events or Facebook groups that you’d recommend for someone who’s new to the area? I’m also a chef, so if there are any foodie groups, markets, cafes or local events where people usually hang out, I’d love to know! 😊

Any tips for making friends or settling into Mt Isa and Moondarra would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

Hey guys. Me and my friends have 5hrs layover in Melbourne going to Tassie. Just asking what is best to do? Considering it might take time to get out of the airport and the next departure, is there any good place we can have lunch or visit? THANK YOU.
