I have a 12x12' patch that my Dad poured wild flower seeds on and left to nature. Hence, several years later, I have a collection of volunteer trees I would like to get IDs on, so I can make wise decisions on what to keep and what to part ways with.
This one had me doing a quadruple take. I have never seen a tree grow like this. Internet has led me to hickory, but idk what type. Guesses?

We have an old wall AC, 115v, 26x18", which has been here since we moved here in the 80s. It was rarely used and no longer works anymore. We have central AC, but the thought of cooling down an entire house just to use 1 of 3 bedrooms for sleeping is not practical.
I'm leaning to , "Yes, I want a wall AC in the MaBa" for the hot summer nights. Is this one fixable? What should I be considering when thinking about replacement? Is there a way to just replace the guts of the unit instead of the entire unit?
Do they tend to stick around? I had one all of last summer on my deck. The hose box is immediately below the deck. What are the chances that this is Franklin from last summer?
Looks like I won't need that hose after all. It's occupied. 🥰
