I am a United States citizen, born and raised here, 39 years old. My grandmother is from Germany. She was born in 1936 and came here in the early 60s. She is a green card holder; she never became a US citizen.
Would I be eligible for German citizenship as well? My father (born in 1966) is her son, and he told me he looked into it, but he said he’s not eligible; this to me means that I am not.

Hello! I love Birkenstocks and I’ve never seen the Highwood model in person. I live in the southern United States and I work security. I saw the lace up model of these shoes online; they look like they would be great for security, but does anyone know if they are a warm shoe? I need an all year-round shoe that isn’t lined, not a shoe for winter. If these would be too warm for the hot southern summers, what model would you recommend? Thank you so much in advance. :D
