Restoration tips —— first typewriter

Got this lovely piece of italian ware from an antique store £10 but the keys are sticky and the carriage doesn’t progress.

I think I managed to move the carriage but forgot how, the spacebar doesn’t do anything when pressed the letters all print in a pile.

Id much rather the advice from some seasoned human experts than AI so I thought id post this on here.

I would love to get it working to be my first typewriter as I love its charm but not sure where to start, ive been giving it a clean of its gunk and dust with some wet wipes but not sure where to go next.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Pls help Is this normal with POTS

I have POTS and HEDS and pretty severe migraines. Im not in education and I dont work because of my conditions.
My main limiting symptom is that if I do a task like go to a shopping centre or get the bus or do some gardening I get wiped out physically immediately after I stop.

I’ll get home and a crushing wave of fatigue will hit me and my head will start to ache I feel hot and shivery I get sensitive to light and sound and have to lie down and do nothing.

I usually start to feel better come the evening and mostly I wake up the next day feeling groggy but much better.

Im struggling to tell whether or not this is normal for potsies/ migraine havers.

Ive spoken to a lot of people with ME and they’ve told me that it doesn’t sound like PEM but is some kind of post exertional worsening and I was wondering if other people with POTS experience that too.

Like an exertion intolerance? How bad I feel seems to have not much to do with my heart rate either, ive still felt like this even if my heart rate is stable so Im kind of lost.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Is this PEM or something else??

Im struggling to tell whether or not this is MECFS for me or just dysautonomia and migraines its really difficult. I know PEM is delayed which is the main reason I dont think that it is but my doctor says it doesnt necessarily have to be so im scared.

Im mainly worried because the protocol for POTS and migraine is way different to the treatment for ME I worry Im doing so much to make myself better like the gym ect that if I have ME could be making me worse.

Any advice I would really appreciate it!

HELP!! Has this been cold damaged? ❄️

I bought this from ebay and recieved it today it was packaged well but upon opening i was a bit shocked but the overall condition of the plant.

It looks very similar to when my succulents have frozen and thawed before. The leaves feel like floppy and deflated the colour is slightly yellowish translucent and the rosettes are dented and puckered in places. I am absolutely gutted because i know if it is frost damage i wont be able to save this plant .

The seller advises it is fine and it just needs water but i really not hopeful.

Ive attached an image of the original listing photo and you can see it looks firmer and is a much brighter green. Im familiar with haworthias and i know its unusual for them not to be hard to the touch.

Im in England and we have had some frost in areas despite it being late springtime but i have never encountered this problem before from buying plants online.

I wonder if it got frozen in the greenhouse the seller said they it was kept it temperatures 0 and below and then didn’t notice when sending out to me.
I feel like this would be hard to dispute with ebay.

Im very upset because i had been looking for this haworthia for a while now and i fear the whole plant is just going to turn into soup over the next few days.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated 🙏
