Is the 16" really that hard to carry?

Everyone talks about how the 16" MacBook is so heavy and so big that it doesn't even fit into any bag but I have felt it myself and it doesn't feel heavy in my hands and the size feels normal but I can't really tell how it would feel carrying it around with me for years just from feeling it once at the store I am probably going to take it with me to lots of places especially university so I just want to know if it really is a bad idea to get the 16" or if everyone is just over reacting.

Monitor or TV for MacBook?

Context: I am currently using 2 1080p 60Hz 27" monitors with huge borders so I want something to split screen my apps the PPI is like 80 on those so it's not like going to a TV (~102 PPI) will look worse because it's bigger
I am stuck between a 34" monitor either 1440p or 4k 120Hz or a 43 inch TV 4k 60Hz I sit far enough away don't worry about that
I've also seen 43" monitors and that really confused me because i don't know how they're different it's 60Hz too
The TV I found also has 4:4:4 chroma I have no idea what that means but apparently it's important
So if anyone uses a TV with a MacBook let me know if it works fine because I don't really know how the scaling and stuff works or if that's even a thing

Edit: I decide to post on here because all the other posts relating to this that I've seen are all talking about gaming or things like that

How much memory do I need?

I know a lot of people ask this but I've looked online and everyone is giving me different answers. I'm a computer science student and I need something to last me 6 to 8 years. At first I was looking at the 16" Pro with 24GB memory but then a lot of people were saying that 24GB will get slow quickly doing programming. I am planning on having a lot of things open at once like a code editor, music, AI, loads of Safari tabs. I was sure 24GB would be fine but everyone's thrown me off a bit and I'm confused now and I feel like I need 48GB. Another option is the Air with 32GB memory so I can have more memory for cheaper but obviously the chip isn't as good as the M5 Pro and I am leaning towards the Pro for the ports and screen and speakers. If anyone has a similar use for their MacBook how much memory does it take up?
