My typewriter obsession ran its course , and I moved on to other things some time ago. Checking back in now, I see things are... different. What happened in the last ~5 years? I see a lot of posts with machines that would have been passed over when I was collecting. Did all the nicer ones get scooped up, and folks are just working with what's available (without paying re-seller prices)? A quick scan of Kijiji turns up mostly plastic junk. The resurgence a victim of its own success, I suppose! There *does* seem to be a lot more legit repair info floating around, which is nice. I was thinking to thin my collection, but I don't even recognize the market anymore.

Tldr: What'd I miss?? 😜

The whole family is dodgy--his parents (Suttis & Reiger) are serial bad tenants.
