We’ll be in Mallorca next week and staying near Can Pastilla. We’re planning to rent a boat for 4 hours (not a 15 PS boat, but something a little bigger).
Maybe someone has done something similar before. Is it better to rent a boat right in Can Pastilla and head south, or to rent a boat in Palma and then head west from there? Which bays and places are the most worth visiting here?

Hi, I need some collective wisdom.
A week ago, my grandfather (90 Years old) was taken to the hospital because he was wheezing and had some phlegm. It started one or two days before and before that everything was just fine with him.
The doctors suspect pneumonia, but they aren’t entirely sure, especially regarding the exact cause. They took CT or MRI scans (I’m not entirely sure which one), ran blood tests, cultured samples from his lungs for bacteria, and performed a bronchoscopy. All results were normal. No causative bacteria or viruses were found. As far as I know, however, they did administer antibiotics at some point. Although there hasn’t been much improvement, the inflammation markers seem to have gone down just a little bit.
He’s been wearing an oxygen/ventilation mask for the past 3 days. As long as he has it on, everything is fine: he can function normally and even speak, even if it’s sometimes a bit tiring because of the mask and the pumped air. But as soon as the mask comes off, his blood oxygen level drops.
The doctors are currently at a loss and now want to start administering cortisone.
Has anyone else experienced something similar and can offer advice or suggest what other steps might be taken?

Inspired by all the pet trackers with short battery life, I started building a GPS tracker on my own - didn't have had any experience in coding before.
ESP32 with LoRa module and LTE. GPS fix works, and sends the data to my database. I visualize it through a webapp with all necessary information like hdop, number of satellites, battery voltage and so on. Main data transmission is LoRa, LTE is fallback.
Now I will implement a motion sensor and other triggers for advanced power save mode.
I'm not a software developer, so I'm a bit proud of myself building a webapp, firmware, website and the hardware just with AI and the knowledge I got myself (I like technical stuff and have an IoT background).
Later on I also want to reduce it much more in size and weight. Probably not as elaborate or extreme as other projects, but it's a start!😃

Ich entwickle gerade einen GPS-Tracker für Freigängerkatzen und würde mir gerne auch echtes Feedback von anderen Katzenhaltern holen...also genau von euch!
Wir haben seit einem Jahr selbst einen kleinen Kater, den wir aktuell immer freier laufen lassen. Allerdings wollen wir ihm einen kleinen Tracker an das Halsband machen, um auch mal zu sehen wo er steckt, wenn er z.B. abends länger weg bleibt.
Dabei ist uns aufgefallen, dass die meisten Tracker für Hunde konzipiert und selbst Katzentracker eigentlich ziemlich groß sind. Dazu muss man bei den meisten ja auch noch ein Abo abschließen. Also habe ich mich entschlossen das Ganze selbst in die Hand zu nehmen, da ich auch beruflich aus dem Technikbereich komme.
Das Projekt heißt TRACCID und soll ein zuverlässiger, kleiner Katzen-GPS-Tracker werden...und vor allem ohne Abo. Damit wir als Katzeneltern ruhiger schlafen können, wenn die Schlawiner mal nicht wie gewohnt zurück kommen. Ich bin noch in einer frühen Phase (ich entwickle gerade den ersten Prototyp) und will wirklich wissen, was euch bei sowas wichtig ist und nicht nur, was ich mir denke.
Ich würde mich freuen, wenn ihr mal vorbei schaut und mir gerne einfach einen Kommentar da lasst, was ihr dazu denkt. Und falls ihr 5 Minuten habt: Es gibt eine kurze Umfrage auf der Seite, die mir wirklich sehr helfen würde.

I’m currently working on a project to build a GPS tracker for our pet. I know there are some on the market, but they don’t quite meet our requirements.
The device connects three different antennas: a LoRaWAN, an LTE and a GPS antenna. So we have three antennas in a fairly compact design. Do you have any tips on the best way to arrange these within the device, or whether it might be possible to combine several antennas into one antenna?
