Does weightloss change your life ?

I always hear people say that exercise and weight loss improve your mental health and confidence, but I genuinely want to know from real people, did it actually change things mentally for you?

Not just physically looking better, but:

Did your self-esteem improve?

Did you feel more confident socially?

Did you stop overthinking your appearance?

Did you feel happier or mentally lighter?

Did it change how you viewed yourself as a person?

And for people who lost a significant amount of weight ,what changed the most in your life mentally or emotionally after the weight loss?

I’m curious because I feel like the emotional side of weight loss is talked about less than the physical side.

10k steps accountability group on Telegram

I have been trying to get consistent with 10k steps again

During lockdown, I actually stayed really consistent because I had a small accountability group and I realized having people doing it alongside you makes such a difference. I was motivated, no I am not so consistent

So I am thinking of creating a small group for daily accountability, updates, motivation, and just encouraging each other to move our bodies consistently.

No pressure to be perfect , we can start slow and gradually build up the pace together like 5k , 6k upto 10k and more

The aim is simply to move, feel better, and stay consistent

If you’d be interested in joining, let me know

Lately I have noticed a pattern in this sub lately, a lot of people saying they feel lonely or don't have people to hang out with or are finding it hard to make friends in Navi Mumbai, looking for genuine connections

Honestly it makes sense , if you don't have your small circle like even 2-3 friends and it's mumbai right ? All about hustling and busy routines

But we should not forget to enjoy life and discover oneself, do new activities and unlock unique sidequests

I feel that it's underestimated that fact one can enjoy Life alone , sometimes all we need is ourselves with small sidequest

Enjoying life in a way that it feels good in your own presence, not in a "boohoo,i got no one" sad way

I have been getting into this journey of self discovery , hobbies and doing sidequests lately

Here are few that actually helped me with loneliness and boredom

\- solo coffee date

NM has a good collection of cafes , make a ritual to try new cafes every weekend , if you are a coffee lover , this is the best for you , take pictures , slow down with coffee , maybe start blog or a insta page to document your journey?

\- Trying out new hobbies

Hobbies are something which is endless , like literally there are so many possibilities , if you are someone in art and craft , you can explore one hobby each Weekend ,like junk journaling ( very very cheap ) , doodling, sketching in garden , origami , digital illustrations , pipe cleaner crafts , quiling ( the nostalgic forgotten art)

Trust me bro , getting into your creative flow is so healing + it has bonus points for being screen free and making something from your hand , is always better than doom scrolling

\- Exploring new places

Preplan on the weekdays to visit or explore a new place , maybe go on a walk , explore art galleries , nature spots , museums, exhibitions, markets maybe malls? That sunset or sunrise point? Again possibilities are endless , requires a bit of research and planning

I am not saying all this is going to replace friendship, obviously we all want connection but maybe instead of waiting for the perfect connection we can make our solo time feel a little less heavy

also I have recently started exploring this whole side questing thing myself just trying small things and getting out more intentionally

if you are also figuring this out and want ideas or just someone to share this journey with feel free to reach out just keep it respectful I am only open to genuine conversations

also been thinking of organising something different, instead of random anyone wanting to hang out plans what if we did small group activities that are a bit more intentional and playful

like "come explain your hobby" or "debate about how this movie is the best movie " or "dressup as your favourite cartoon character" or "bring your own stuff for junk journaling," could be anything serious or random or childish

not for dating ,not for anything creepy but just a space where people can show up ,talk, listen and feel a bit more connected

something low pressure a little whimsical and actually enjoyable even if you dont know anyone

I am still figuring this out but if this sounds interesting let me know
