Popped into OBL yesterday to see a rather lovely new watch we can’t discuss and didn’t leave empty handed.
I really enjoy how Oris challenges my preconceptions for example; I don’t like divers watches but somehow I now have 8. I don’t like skeleton watches but something about the PPX makes this one acceptable. In truth it ticks 2 more boxes having an in-house movement and being titanium.
OBL sent me a new strap today which was very kind of them. I suppose I should pop in to town to thank them and let them tempt me with their wares.

I understand that selling a vintage vice for less than £30 in an auction is vexing but please use more than a layer of bubble wrap and a bin liner for a hard to come by antique that weighs 2kg.
If my attack fails at least I can hide behind the watch, probably enough room for you to join me.

They are a very approachable and knowledgeable gang and they have a range of preowned watches. After some intense haggling, grovelling, sincere flattery and some of my own stickers, I bagged this “Der Meisterflieger” full kit for a very attractive price.
BC4s are so underrated In my opinion.
