Pitch n time teaser

Just popping out here to say I’m jealous of any of you with Pitch N Time. I bought a used deck (Rane 4) from GC a few months ago and it didn’t come with a code to unlock PnT.

For some reason when I connected my deck a couple of weeks ago it offered me a free trial of the full suite of Serato add ons. I had been dying to try out PnT.

Unfortunately, it was a cool as I’d hoped it would be.

My trial’s ended and I cannot justify purchasing it separately. But just wanna say to yall who have it, you’re blessed.

That’s all. Have a great day.

Used Rane 4 - Pitch n Time?

Just bought a used Rane 4 from Guitar Center to upgrade from my starter FLX4 —HUGE step up and I love it!

I know the Serato DJ Pro access is hardware-unlocked via plugging in the controller, but it doesn’t appear to include pitch n time. Some research is telling me mixed answers on if it does or not.

Does anyone know if it’s a separate code or license outside of the hardware-unlock? Is there something I need to do in settings to access the functions?

Would reaching out to Rane or Serato for a code be my move?

Really appreciate any guidance

FLX 10 vs Rane 4 vs Your Recommendation

FLX-10 vs. Rane 4 vs. whatever you recommend

I got into DJ’ing a little over a year ago as an outlet post-divorce. I’ve got a little one who has an early bed time, so DJ’ing really helped me fill my time in the evenings. When I tell you I was hooked INSTANTLY, I love it.

Anyways, it’s time to level up to a big-boy controller. I started off with the Hercules Starlight (to see if I’d stick with it), then moved to an FLX-4 and have done a few sets with it, and now it’s time to move up.

Right now, I’m between the FLX-10 and the Rane 4 Advanced.

I’m really close with my local DJ community, and most of them use an FLX-10. That controller feels a lot less intimidating because of already being used to the pioneer DDJ line, and I have that network I can ask questions to.

That said, I use Serato Pro and the Rane 4 seems to get better full-utilization of all of the Serato features. There are a few other reasons why I’m considering it, but that feels like the main one.

Few notes:
— I don’t scratch often during sets, but would like the flexibility keep practicing and working it in more.
— I use Serato Pro
— Single Dad budget: under $2k
— Would prefer a non-motorized platter (maybe one day)
— Needs a moderate amount of travel friendliness to take to sets in bars/mid-sized clubs

Thank you!
