Dead pixels around camera "cutout"?

I have a 2025 Razr Ultra and I noticed this...irregularity around the front camera, I guess? It's not a perfect circle, it's just that area towards the center-left-ish that looks like that. I can't tell if this is some dead pixels around there or if it's a software issue. Running Android 16

Pretty much title. I tried searching on this sub but kept coming across deleted answers/comments.

I have installed the desktop companion as well as the browser extension. Is it enough to leave the Synology Photos tab open and walk away, or do i have to scroll over the pictures to have their thumbnails generated?
