Proclaimed “Timothy supporter” & archivist thinks Melanie fans reposting Timothy’s deleted SW is not classified as revenge porn
This is a long one. TLDR: I showed a Timothy archivist a tweet made by someone they follow is posting revenge porn of Timothy, their response was “if she posted it publicly then deleted it, I wouldn’t consider that “revenge porn.” When I shared an article talking about how reposting SW content you once posted consensually doesn’t count as consent for someone to post later, it’s now nonconsensual, defined as revenge porn, & is a crime… their response was “maybe you have a point… okay…. Im not going to argue about the revenge porn or not because I still need to think about it.” A wolf in sheep’s clothing. Internalized rape apologist rhetoric.
I’m the owner of a Timothy Heller server. There’s good people in the server who not only support Tim (whether as a SA survivor or supporting her music,) but support all victims of sexual abuse & see’s how more needs to be done. Speaking up about the harmful rhetoric & victim blaming mentality that we see being spread, not only about Timothy, but other survivors story’s we’ve seen in the past months.
I remove anyone from the server that interacts with a community on twitter that call themselves “felonie Enders.” This group is primarily filled with accounts that “support” Timothy for views on their clickbait tweets & set up Melanie. (Such posts being like “Who’s the best alt pop artist & you can’t say Melanie Martinez”)(“If she’s a rapist then why isn’t Timothy Heller pregnant?”)
Timothy has asked that if you have a hate page dedicated to her abuser, to not follow or interacting with her. In her own words “that doesn’t feel like support. It feels like what you think happened to me is a joke, & that this is entertaining for you.” (Link to the video: https://www.instagram.com/reel/DCP2uauPpNw/?xtok=MXh5eTh0Nm5ld3BiYw== ) I feel as if this group falls in line with that statement. Her story isn’t something that should be used as engagement. Your allowed to not like Melanie/think she’s a rapist, but to use her allegations to create “stan war” drama is gross & you don’t genuinely support Timothy or what she has gone through.
I found out that the archivist is in a “felonie Enders” group chat. They joined just to “keep tabs.” Which is a very parasocial & chronically online thing to do. It’s one thing to discuss the allegations but it’s another to engage with people who diminish survivors by using victim blaming tactics & having this skewed mentality towards SA survivors. These are not people you should be “keeping tabs” on. They justify them being in that group by saying “the GC with Fel Enders got rebranded to a crybaby GC” as if that’s any better? Like good for them? Still a community you shouldn’t be interacting or trying to reason with!
The archivist sent me a post about a comment Timothy made in 2012. Having a crush on an actor who was a teenager. She was 19 when she made that comment. I would at most consider this a very edgy comment. Her past includes racism & questionable comments. She has apologized multiple times. Crybabies won’t look for her apology but will look for any dirt to make Tim look less than a victim. You can call out people for being problematic, but how does that suddenly invalidate Timothy’s story?
I pointed out that Elita (who is friends with Melanie) made comments around the same age (she was 20 with posts made in 2015) (she was asked what’s her opinion on pdfiles & responded with “idk I’m a sicko,” was asked if she’s into incest/she has no morals & responded “basically”) they said nothing in response at first, & asked me to bring it up to Timothy. Um, no. That’s a weird thing to ask someone when they’ve already apologized. She’s never gonna see that post, she doesn’t have social media, she’s not online publicly like how she was last previously, plus what more do they want her to say? It’ll get met with “omg she’s obsessed!! All she does is stalk us!!1!1!” If she says something, she’s a bad person. If she doesn’t, she’s a bad person.
The original tweet is made by someone the archiver follows. I found a separate tweet they made with multiple photos of Timothy’s SW on it. I asked why they would follow someone like that? “One of my good friends is a Melanie fan and she’s very nice. Objectively nothing was 100% confirmed so I don’t see why there can’t be union between both fandoms…. I befriend the ones with more reasonable points and have rational arguments. I understand that people had bad experiences with fans but that doesn’t reflect everyone.” How can their be union between fandoms when one is adamant that she’s a liar who wanted fame/money & the other is “innocent” while using victim blaming tactics/mentality to “clear her name.” It’s not only harmful to Timothy, but to other survivors of sexual assault. Who use her SW as a “gotcha!” moment to make her seem less credible. One is a rapist & one is her victim. How will there ever be unity?
In said tweet with the SW content, OP said “the “idk I’m a sicko” thing is weird but just an edgy joke made by a teenager (Elita was 20) who was exploited. Timothy doesn’t have a clean track record either.” Something that I’d had predicted they’d say. I told the archivist “They want to come after Timothy for posts made more than a decade ago but won’t go after someone who did the same thing & was around the same age?”
The archivist said I posted revenge porn of Elita. “If we’re going by this logic, you need to delete the photos you have of Elita on your IG page.” I called Elita out for making nasty comments (posted above) & showed the hashtags used on her tumblr (#/dd/lg, #/littleone, #/babygirl.) It happened to include a picture of someone handcuffed, bare chested (nothing shown from the front,) with her rear as the focal point of the photo but is clothed in underwear (I have not been able to confirm if it’s actually her in the photo or something she reposted.) I then sent them photos they shared of Tim on their archive page where Tim’s groin is shown, also covered by underwear. Both Timothy & Elita had these posted on their now deactivated accounts. I told them that I do see how it can be revenge porn & I removed the photo from my page. They said if I considered people sharing photos of Timothy’s SW after she deleted it as revenge porn, then me sharing the post Elita made was also revenge porn. When I told them that the pics of Timothy on the archive page could also be considered under that umbrella, they said “Timothy said she only deactivated her tumblr account because she didn’t like the songs… Unless you’ve talked to her how do you know she doesn’t want these photos? This is all assumptions/a hypothetical.” Going around asking someone “Hey! You had a picture of your groin that you posted on ur old tumblr that you deactivated thats now shared onto an archive page. Do you want it taken down?” feels like an invasion of privacy. Seeing that post now felt invasive. She went out her way to delete these explicit pictures of her SW, what do you think makes that picture is any different? If she deleted SW content from 2020, what makes you think she wants her content from 2011-2013 up? She probably doesn’t remember making those posts, even if she’s covered. Tim’s engaged now, what makes you think she wants those photos publicly online? I explained that the groin photo should be taken down because it was from her deactivated account, just like how Elita’s was as well. Which is why I deleted that slide of Elita.
They go on to say i’m “not the brightest” when I said it’s alright to delete the photos of Elita but not okay to delete the pictures of Timothy? Also trying to claim that I was taking what they were said “out of content.” They say “Idrc about you posting about Elita but I thought it was weird to say my mutual was spreading revenge porn when by your logic you technically did the same… Idc about either… I mean she posted it publicly? If I posted a nude photo for erotic consumption then deleted, I wouldn’t consider that revenge porn.” I’m not out here justifying revenge porn. Saying “if it was posted publicly online then it’s not revenge porn,” is justifying that behavior! They were purposely misunderstanding what I was saying. I had to explain that deleting your previously public free SW or paywalled content (meant for 18+ viewers) does not give someone the right to repost it. Prior consent to share those images in the past does not count as having consent to repost later, no matter if it was deleted. I can consent to having sex one moment & revoke it later. What is different about that when it comes to sexual content online? Their response “okay maybe you have a point… I said maybe because I’m still thinking.” Girl, maybe?? “I think the lines get blurry… I wouldn’t say any nude posted then deleted is revenge porn. Let’s say someone posted a video of themselves being explicit at a playground (kinda similar to Timothy) & people called them out & they deleted it, I don’t think that’s revenge porn exactly.”
OH MY GOD. To call it out & having the post deleted is not revenge porn. To repost unblurred content that was put behind a paywall for 18+ viewers, into a fandom primarily filled with minors, IS posting revenge porn! Some of that content was taken from Google Photos when her account got hacked. It’s legally defined as revenge porn. The content is used to bully, harass & blackmail Timothy. It doesn’t matter if the person had once consented to the photo/videos being shared, once it’s deleted & no longer under public use, you don’t have the right to repost that content. Melanie fans use it to cause reputational damage towards Timothy. It’s defined differently in some states because some don’t have concrete laws surrounding it, but to post that content with the intent to harm & harass someone is usually defined under a crime. It’s cyber exploitation. It’s a felony. You could be registered as a sex offender if you’re caught & prosecuted. It called the TAKE IT DOWN act (passed in 2025 under Trump’s presidency. Shocking, especially for him,)(some will would say that Timothy’s MAGA. Not true, which is why it’s questionable to congregate with her fans.)
The last message they before I stopped responding was “I’m not going to argue about the revenge porn or not because I’ll still need to think about it.” What is there to think about? I have it defined, all laid down for you. I believe that if you have to “think about it” being revenge porn, then you never took it seriously from the start. You do not get to have your bodily autonomy taken from you just because you were a SWer. Consent matters in person & online. Interacting with crybabies who already don’t understand how consent works just because they had one level headed conversation with you is not a good look. Purchasing porn & watching adult content AS AN adult is normal, but taking deleted SW content & sharing it with hundreds of underaged fans (roughly 12-19 year olds,) as some form of “proof” that Timothy couldn’t have been raped is blasphemy**.** These are the same people who subscribed to her OF in the guise of using that content as “evidence.” They say things like “well she couldn’t have been raped if she feels so comfortable playing with herself & selling her body” or “ if she’s comfortable being a whore, why would she claim rape. She’s top 0.05% on onlyfans. She has no respect for herself.”
I was once someone who tried to “befriend” crybabies to try to talk things out but it was always met with defensive people who didn’t want to use critical thinking skills. It is not worth your peace, they don’t have decorum. They support someone who acknowledged and confirmed the event happened. Someone who has solidified allegations against them.
At this point it’s not even a matter of calling about Timothy for her problematic past. These fans say “are people not allowed to grow, do you expect people to be the same person they were 10 years ago?” That only seems to apply to Elita though, when it comes to Timothy it’s “no guys you can’t support a weirdo like that, she obviously still thinks like that!!1!1!!” They won’t allow her the chance to grow as a person. They don’t keep the same energy because Timothy is not what they think a “perfect victim” is. It’s disgusting to allow this harmful rhetoric to be passing around. Following people who think that’s okay just because you had a good conversation with them is fucked, especially as someone who archiving Timothy’s content. You inadvertently amplify this behavior & ideology by interacting with these type of people & not calling them out for that behavior.
All of this to say, they have been removed from my server. If you ever join my server & you’re apart of that community, we don’t want you in. You can stay in your cyst-filled community away from people who are here to support victims. Not to use victims for likes, comments & views. Posting anyone’s old deleted SW content is 110% revenge porn & to think otherwise is sickening. That behavior and mindset is vile, & has no place in my server.
