I just launched Calmly-Conciergerie.com , a property management service for Airbnb hosts on Morocco's northern coast (Mediterranean side).

Quick context:

• Market: Mdiq, Martil, Fnideq, Cabo Negro — booming tourism region, almost no professional competition
• Customers: absent property owners (MRE, Gulf investors, European expats)
• Model: % commission on monthly rental revenue + onboarding fee
• Stage: Just launched, pre-revenue, onboarding first properties for summer 2026

Everyone talks about Marrakech, Fes, Chefchaouen, Essaouira when they think of Morocco. But there's a stretch of Mediterranean coastline 30 minutes from Tangier that almost no one in the international travel scene mentions: Mdiq, Martil, Fnideq, and Cabo Negro.

What makes it special:

• Beautiful sandy beaches (much calmer than the Atlantic coast)
• Andalusian-influenced architecture (Tetouan, the regional capital, is UNESCO-listed)
• Excellent seafood, much cheaper than Spain
• Mix of Moroccan, Spanish, and French cultural influences
• 1 hour from Spain by ferry (Tarifa/Algeciras → Tangier)
• High-end villas at fraction of Mediterranean European prices

Best time to visit: June - September for beach. May & October for hiking + quiet beaches.

Where to stay: Short-term rentals (villas) are abundant on Airbnb/Booking. Cabo Negro for luxury, Martil for atmosphere, Mdiq for the marina, Fnideq for proximity to Ceuta.

Disclaimer: I run a property management service in the area (Calmly-Conciergerie.com), so I'm biased. But honestly, I'm posting this because I'm constantly surprised that this region isn't on more travel radars.
