All hail the Timneh Greys!

This is Griffin, he'll be 18 on the 11th (of July). He has zero interest in working, some political opinions and is 100% judgemental. However, he'll do almost anything for a good head scratch.

Oh and he completely runs the house - we just live here.

Not looking for advice

This is Waffles. Waffles believes with all her heart & soul that she's a bigger bird than what she actually is. Last night, after the vets in our area closed she decided it was a good idea to get into a fight with our Timneh. That little tussle broke her wing.

I'm not asking for advice, we're already at the vet with x-rays & temporary bandaging being done. The x-rays will tell us if her wing can be fixed surgically and absolute worse case scenario, her wing will be amputated.

What I am asking for are prayers, healing vibes, good energy - whatever it is you believe in, please send it Waffles way. I'll update as we know more.

UPDATE:

Thank you everyone who took the time to read my post and sent good healing prayers and energy. I truly believe they help.

The x-ray showed two things - 1. Waffles is indeed a girl, she had an egg that she uneventfully laid overnight and 2. because of how her wing was fractured surgery isn't a guarantee since the doctor isn't sure the pin(s) will hold.

Now, because of the open wound the doctor had suggested amputation or bandaging her up and giving the wing a chance.

I obviously went with bandaging her wing and while the doctor is concerned about the open wound - that's why she's on antibiotics, right? They gave her an antibiotic injection yesterday as well as her oral dose before we left. She's on clavamox and gabapentin three times a day and metacam twice a day.

So far she's doing great, she's tolerating her cone of shame well and is quickly learning to navigate her little world. She kind of understands that she can't fly but we're ALL keeping a very close eye on her. We go back to the vet tomorrow morning for a wound check and bandage change.

I'll add photos of Waffles in her cone of shame in the comments.
