Long term investment

I realized I really like Nangong and specifically like playing her with Sunna since the two of them work as essentially a Swiss army knife for anomaly or attackers. (not optimal but fun)

For those with M2 Nangong is that extra def shred and abloom damage a noticeable dmg increase for her since if I went for it I'd want her to kinda carry the DPS with enough sub-damage to keep Sunna on the team with whoever I feel like playing with them.

Another Returning player, Chisa or wait?

Seems we're in a sea of returning players, I stopped playing in 1.0 and very briefly came back just to pull Cartethyia when she first dropped with all the hype going on at the time then dipped right again.

I've just gotten to lvl 40 and my only limiteds are Yinlin and Cartethyia though I do have a Velina and an E2 Encore, though I doubt they're that good anymore. Yinlin and Cartethyia both have their Sig weapons. I've seen that Chisa seems to the ideal pair for Cartethyia so how high of a priority should she be if I'm mainly coming back for the EdgeRunners Collab? I have some returnee tickets that we know can't be used for the collab so should I just drop them on her and hope she turn up before the banner ends?

Is there any teammates that would be coming in the near future for a Cart team with Aero Rover that I should save up for instead cause I plan on farming all the astrite I can to snag Lucy so I don't wanna use it all on an unnecessary teammate.

Plenty thanks for reding through all of that!

Primordial Nightmare matchup

I tried looking around but there isn't that much recent info about his matchup into Nightmare.
She's the only boss that I've been juuuuust scraping by at 20k with since I don't have any attackers aside from S11 and Haru .Is he able to get comfortable clears even though she has lower def?

I wouldn't want to get him and then have him immediately get HP inflated out of clearing next time she shows up to the point he can't get at least 25-30k without sig cause these DA bosses getting mad inflated as of late.

Also I already have Lucia with sig but no Dialyn (looking at Norma already)

Thanks for the advice.

Loss of control/interaction in combat

Does anyone feel like we've slowly losing more and more agency in terms of what we as the play are doing during combat? Specifically these areas being:

i-frames: They used to have a relatively short window that you could time to dodge attacks but now because every character has really flashy and cool attacks they need to be invulnerable to be able to actually use the whole animation making it so you can just ignore whatever you're fighting if you want by just cycling through characters and using their special moves to the point they've made control attacks to force people to stop using the boss as a training dummy at least once during a fight.

Camera: My main reason for this point, all of the new characters currently have forced camera angles. (Billy, Promeia, Norma, Velina) At first I liked it with Sunna but the more I play with it the more it bothers me since if the enemy isn't stunned / stunlocked then its incredibly hard to see what the they're doing. Also you can't have fun or creative wipeout screens since it'll ALWAYS be the exact same shot which is the biggest issue for me as a lot of the fun after endgame for me is just trying to make cool wipeouts. I was super hype for Billy but the super low angle on EX and painfully slow pan for the rider kick feels so bad I'm now thinking I might skip him.

Combat design: Everything being a time-attack mode in endgame means optimal play is essentially just i-frame dodging your way through everything the boss is doing except for an occasional parry just so you can build the stun bar a bit faster. Dodging is something you never really have to do if you're playing 'correctly'.

All these changes just make the game feel more and more like the devs are forcing you to play the game a particular way all the way down to when you should be parrying down to what the wipeout screens are allowed to look like. It's frustrating since I do really love the combat in this game but it's slowly feeling more like every other combat gatcha.

Most of these things are currently minor issues and endemic to gotcha games as a whole and I don't think they're going to stop moving in this direction but the ZZZ devs have been pretty receptive to feedback in the past so what changes would you suggest the devs to add to solve these issues that could realistically be implemented?

Personally I'd just ask to make the 'auto camera' function optional/toggleable like they did with manual chains. Leave it on for default since I'm assuming it's been added for mobile players who cant move the camera and fight at the same time, but allow you to manually control the camera during all attacks if you want to.

As for the more tangible combat things, I honestly don't have faith that they'll try and preserve the older combat identity and it's just going to be like the other HOYO games of just i-frame and ult spamming...
