So, when Wuthering Waves launched, I was already playing Genshin Impact, and I remember there were some complaints about the game. Is it better now? Is it generous to F2P players? Is it hard to level up or build strong characters? Is it a grind-fest like Genshin, or is it easy like Zenless? I really want to know what I'm getting into before I start. If it's a Genshin level grind, then I'm ready—I'm already used to struggling with time constraints and scarce resources.

Hi All, I’m new to the game. I started playing two patches before the cyberpunk patch.

I’ve recently managed to reach the phase where I can finally upgrade my Resonators to level 90. However there are a few concerns…

My ass is being handed to me in the holograms, despite being able to clear ToA and the ship mode to a certain degree.

I have two main teams. Lucy (S4W1 level 90), Rebecca (S0W1 level 90), Shorekeeper (S0W1 level 80)

And Chisa (S0W1 level 90), Aerover (S6W3 level 90), and Cartheyia (S0W1 level90)

I’ve gotten as many good sub rolls for echos as I can (work in progress) and I managed to upgrade the majority of my characters skills to 6 at least.

But being able to clear these holograms seem incredibly difficult, especially at level 90 and 100. I wasn’t expecting the bosses to be so tanky and hitting so hard when I first started playing. And now I think I’m beginning to realise that maybe it was designed this way…

Therefore my questions are…

Am I just bad? Or are my resonators outdated?

Would things be better if I level all my skills to 10?

Is this a trick to make me pull more character copies, or the new limited time characters instead of the reruns?

Are the bosses just full of cheese with their flying abilities, and invulnerable phases, where all you can do is dodge with no real counter play? It’s really frustrating that I need to keep dodging laser beams and waves from a boss like Dreamless or Sigilum

I’m asking this because I *guess* I am a whale considering I dropped a couple hundred bucks on this game already getting Lucy copies, and hoping to spend a little more to get a super strong lynae in future for Aemuth, because I really enjoy building teams, and games like ZZZ and Elden Ring.

Even so, those games (and TOA, Shipmode) almost feel like baby difficulty when compared to these holograms. I’m just feeling a bit lost and unsure if I should really be spending money on a game where I am rly bad, frustrated at, and won’t be able to clear this endgame mode unless I really get maxed copies of all characters. 😢
Would it get better? 😭

Hello! I need some help with planning my pulls. I only got enough for one character right now. I might grind some more once I finish the Edgerunner Collab events.

I currently have Phrolova Team - Phrolova/Lucilla/Buling and Lucy Team - Pusy/Rebecca/Verina.

Additionally, I accidentally pulled on the Denia's banner (😭) and got her. I also have Jinhshi. I plan on building her with 4 star characters once I'm done building the other two teams.

My question is, do any of the upcoming banners work for me? I think I need a support character but I missed out on pulling Chisa and now even if I were to get Aemeath on her rerun I still can't use Denia. Will YapYap or Suisui work with my teams anywho?

Many of us constantly complain on surveys about the lack of optimization for PS5, but every new patch or endgame reset the situation gets worse and worse. With the latest WhiWa reset, the state of the game has reached one of the lowest I could have imagined.

If you have the characters and the time, I invite you to try and clear any WhiWa floor with the premium Lucy team. I’m not sure if it is for the number of animations that Lucy has, but not only I have to play the game while a slideshow is passing in front of my eyes, I also have to slow down because the game can’t keep up while going from Lucy rotation to Mornye rotation. For the first time, I found myself having a better time clearing the endgame on my phone than on my PS5 Pro! Not even the Pro model apparently can keep up with the game, which makes me think that it must be a CPU issue (since the performance of the game on base PS5 and Pro model are almost identical).

I am perfectly aware of the fact that the game is most popular on mobile devices where most of the revenue comes from, and I am sure that Kuro developers are more than capable of fixing those issues (although I can imagine working with UE must be a pain). So I know that business-wise there is no incentive for them to optimize the game for console, while adding more and more graphical feats definitely brings them a lot of revenue (“Look at the insane graphics on this free game!”). However, I feel like keeping complaining and being vocal about those issues is the only way to make them heard.

You can't be for real devs... How could they think it is a good idea to putin the deer with the chopped chopped and the Fusion knight...

Hello ! I started in 3.3 because of denia, and I'm now union level 47. I really enjoyed the game, and after getting denia and shorekeeper, I'm trying to build actual teams.

I would love to have some opinions on the gameplay of Hiyuki and Aemeath. How do they play, and how do you guys like their gameplay and their gameplay loop ?

I personally love Suisui and Lynae, so I'm trying to see if any of these 2 mains dps are fun enough to invest into the full team.

I'm not really asking about meta but more so how they feel in actual combat. Thank you !

i really like both aemeth and hsin, so i'm really indecisive on this matter.

currently, i only have two builded teams:
- havoc rover + sanhua + shorekeeper
- lucy + rebecca + verina

i wanted to get a better team quick enough, i'm still UL45 but i wanted to do WhiWa for example and it's pretty hard for me right now. so thats a point for aemeth

however, im scared she might not be a great investment for my account, ik she's super strong but she's not that new anymore and there will be probably much stronger characters on their way.

i expect that hsin will be stronger than her, but ofc she will take much longer to come. waiting is really the only downside i can think of for her lol.

if i get aemeth, i need lynae, so i wouldnt be able to get suisui. since im new to this game, idk how long it would take for her rerun and how usable hsin would be without her.

same thing with aemeth, i could get her and not lynae, and then suisui + hsin later on, but idk how useful she would be since i dont have mornye or chisa either...

anyways, what do i do? T.T

edit: basically im sure i will get hsin, but idk if should focus 100% on her since now (getting suisui) or if i should pull for her first and worry abt her supports later on (pulling aemeth and lynae)

While I ABSOLUTELY LOVE our girl... it feels like she takes up a ton of time on field. With her banner ending, I'm very tempted to go for her S3 since I want her to be the best subdps she can be while "on a budget." That said, if her S3 also speeds up her on field time by a few seconds, that would honestly be enough to get me to pull. The irony of this isnt really lost on me - I feel like wanting a better subdps while also wanting her off field fast might be asking for too much, haha.

Anyone with S3 Rebecca or more knowledge than I know if it's faster? A month or so into the game and have very limited time to play. Sorry if this is a silly question!~
