I just got DE for the first time (late af, i know) and trying to go for 100%, cheatless. Currently stuck on Zero's third mission. I barely passed his previous one.

I passed the OG 1.0 SA at least 20 times and went for the 100% every time. Flying was super easy (and my favorite) on the old controls, W + Space to take off. A & E for rudder control, etc. I hated the Fly With Mouse option. It was always off. Now it seems it's coded into this game and I absolutely haaaate it.

I can't use my mouse properly to fly, there aren't proper options for airplane control as there were in the previous one. Mostly I hate unable to be tilting (formerly Q and E), and able to thrust up into the air.

What can I do? I also don't have an external controller to plug in, I'm a strictly mouse/kb player.

Rundown of current controls:

I have a few saves I play in rotation when I can, and some I wanna play through that I wanted to share.

1. Latest gameplay is a female adventurer with a LTW to explore all WA tombs in all 3 locations. I'm thinking easy peasy as I play it always, I usually find all gems/metals and relics, but this time... Five weather seasons in, three trips to China, all tombs explored, all excavations point dug, and all I'm missing is the Fudog from China in Dangerous Creatures collection lol. Til then, my Sim is enjoying her time with an Alien roomie she "saved" (Alien was stuck on lot dying and I cheated her way in the household). My Sim works out, is 2 tournaments away from being a Grand Master in Martial Arts, and buys homes around Hidden Springs, one for each weather season. Alien writes her books and just had her first baby through IVF (Enhanced Hospitals mod).

2. An older collector save (on my 128th save file lol). Super accomplished, explored all tombs, found ALL fish/insects/metals/relics/nanites/plants/gems except... Fluorite. It's been about 2 years in-game. She also lived in Twinbrook, same world/EP that introduced fluorite, yet never found it. And I've checked all spawn points with collector helper lol. As she found it all, she focused on her perfect garden, upping her cooking skill and enjoying her new farmhouse/mansion I made for her in Riverview. She just married Jon Lessen and I'm debating on tackling the five kids LTW, as she's family oriented. Hoping fluorite comes along lol.

3. Upgrading Polly Maloney (Bridgeport) and her life! Polly wrote her way out of poverty, got interested in science. She earns a hefty sum every week in royalties, and decided to put it towards renovating the little Bridgeport cabin near the bridge, and enroll in uni online. She started dating and eventually married Ebenezer Clavier...who ended up cheating on her with his best friend Matty Crewe. At the same time, Polly's boss Johanna King kept making moves on her. Polly decided to dump Ebby and leave for a new life. She went to Riverview, where I recreated an adorable Alpine cabin I saw online for her. She's super close to finishing her degree and starting her career as a scientist.

4. Just started playthrough with a mad scientist. Finished her uni degree, got her at level 5 of science career and she's living in Lucky Palms, in this cool UFO-like motherboard home (love the talented builders). With her I plan on creating and collecting all non-human and occult states. She's created two simbots for now, one plumbot, and her alien abductor gave his DNA for her to clone. So the three metal roommates are caring for an alien baby right now. Next up is creating PlantSims, digging mausoleum for the Genie Lamp, creating Logic and Alchemy potions for other occult states. Possibly might turn her into a witch so she can further toadify, zombify, etc other Sims!

5. Less played, but I love exploring this pack. A "time traveler" that got stuck in Twinbrook. Fixed the time machine and is back in the future now. I'm trying super hard to achieve all futuristic statues (as that's the LTW goal), master all futuristic skills & gadgets, and spend a long time in both versions of the future.

Next up I reeeeallllyyyyy want to try various mods improving the Savvy Seller store system - I haven't had a store in a while. And try the boutique and hairdresser mods.

What's happening with your game?

Cooking with sauces is my painful, sore spot. I do well when it's oil and regular juice dripping off seasoned chicken in a covered pan. Ready-made sauces? Its hectic.

TLDR this year I've gotten chickenpox for the first time, and as an adult. As a result, I had severe meat aversion to the point of being nauseous and throwing up from sight alone. Let alone smell, or taste. I've restarted meat eating for the most part...except chicken. And I was a HUGE chicken eater! The only chicken I tolerate is from a local market's kitchen with ready made food. The "chicken" in question is not having chicken taste at all. On the inside it's light pink, NOT raw or uncooked. Maybe smoked beforehand? Taste wise it reminds me of turkey more than chicken. It's made in this heavenly spicy smoked BBQ sauce and it's pretty much drowning in it on the food court display. The sauce is masking most of the meat smell for me and it's been nice getting some extra protein in that way.

My issue lays in every time I've tried making meat with sauces, something would burn. I've tried soy sauce, teriyaki and a cheaper, thin BBQ sauce. I've marinated my chicken in mentioned sauces overnight, and would fry the meat then. High temp to heat up the pan, mid temp for frying and a lid on while it fries. Chicken would quickly burn outside and would be still partially raw on the inside.

Next time I've tried regularly frying chicken breast with usual seasoning (Vegeta, smoked paprika) and then adding some sauce over it. It always ends up with sauce thickening on the pan bottom and slightly smoking.

I've also tried doing both in an air fryer on a silicone pad, and I have to say I'm not a fan of air fryer meat. It didn't turn out or taste well at all.

I can cook quite a lot of domestic things, simple and fast foods, and fry my meat usually. It's just this marinade/sauce thing that's bugging me so much. I'd LOVE any tips you can send my way, as I'm desperately wanting to eat BBQ wings this weekend. I've found a heavenly, domestic new BBQ sauce, the Remia Black Jack Smokey BBQ Sauce. It's thick and tastes exactly like the one used in the mentioned local market. However I don't want to pay expensively for a bottle and to only end up burning it :(

I got a new rig, a gaming one, and I'm building my Mods folder from scratch. Got my big mods and most of my smaller ones installed freshly, redownloaded from OG creators. I used to have minor mods/fixes that reduced the glow in calendar around days and Social Bunny. They were Sejian's and they clashed with UI Cheats and More Traits in CAS, resulting in a wonky UI for me. They also haven't been up-dated (dash for the b o t) since Feb this year. I *believe* there were other SFX fixes targeting this and I'd be grateful if anyone would share them, because I'm unable to find any on MTS. (I would very much like to avoid Curse Forge).
