Not the flashiest, but still a nice little mid-70s watch from Clinton with a France Ébauches 140-B movement. Picked up in a lot as a non-runner. The time-grapher showed it running strong after servicing, but the hands wouldn't move so I suspected a loose cannon pinion.
I noticed when I serviced it this movement has an offset cannon pinion I wasn't eager to try tightening. I had a donor in the drawer. I pulled it out and lo and behold it had a cracked cannon pinion. The only way to get this running was to tighten the existing. It took 3 tries with a filed-down nail clipper, but it's running nicely now.
Wittnauer coffin case jump hour with a Tenor-Dorly 1393 automatic movement.
