What misconception about aroaces bothers / annoys you the most?

For me, it's the idea that because I'm aroace, my life is devoid of love. That is utter horseshit. I love my friends and family more than most people love their significant other. My life is absolutely jam packed with a deeper kind of love than most people will ever experience.

What is it for you?

I have zero interest in anything romantic or sexual. But I want to be close friends with basically everyone. I'm very extroverted (a minority among aroaces it seems) and I just love platonically connecting with people. Anyone else?

Side-note: I consider myself non-human, so it's less "my species is awesome" and more "your species is awesome". Not sure if that is related.
