Incoming PhD student interested in foundational ML skills. Was a CS minor in undergrad, but haven't taken a math class in 4 years atp. Only "CS-y" math course taken was discrete, but who knows what I even remember. Want a strong foundation in lin alg, but nervous looking at the example homeworks/slides on https://www.cis.upenn.edu/~cis5150/

Trying not to psych myself out of this course, but worried. Does anyone (bonus points if you're not CIS) have experience in the course?
