I’ve got an 88 manual with a 4.5 inch lift. Idk know the brand, but I have hunch it’s either Zone or Rusty’s, maybe RC but I’m less certain of that, just looking at the shackle design.

Any recommendations for replacing the bushings and making sure they fit? Is it easy to buy the wrong part? Any ways to tell what leafs I’ve got?

Never done this before, It looks okay to me but I’ve never done this before. This is a 29 spline Chrysler 8.25, I just swapped from a CrapLock carrier to an open carrier with an Aussie locker

Discovered this crack in my tracloc 8.25 side gear when replacing clutch packs. Seems impossible to find a replacement. Current plan is sourcing open carrier, thrust washers, carrier bearings, shims, and cross pin. Sometimes plans change quick! Any tips for swapping carriers? I’m a noob

Pulled my side gears out of my rear axle (c8.25 rear auto axle out of a 98) and discovered this broken washer at the bottoms of the stack washers on the side gears. It’s the only smooth one. Having some challenges finding a new one. Where do I find a replacement?

Ps I’m in here because I’m installing an Aussie locker so any advice on that for a 29 spline 8.25 is mega helpful

Picked up this 1988 no rust 5 speed for 3.5k at the end of March. Renix 4.0, BA10 trans, 8.25 rear d30 front. Previous owner welded in fresh floor panels. Haven’t driven it much, mostly just wrenching. So far I’ve done:
- all fluids
- fan clutch and pulley
- idler pulley
- front clip to 91-96
- LED signals brake lights and reverse lights
- axle shaft u-joints
- double cardan rebuild
- front wheel bearing hub assembly (both sides)
- solid diff cover new oil
- oil change
- spring isolators
- zj tie rod upgrade
- new steering stabilizer
- gas tank
- fuel pump assembly
- fuel filter
- air filter
- added factory gas tank skid
- pass side lower control arm bushings
- gauge cluster with a tach
- 97 front seats
- synthetic winch line and new fairlead
- probably forgetting somethings

Issues:
- high idle but runs smoothly no misfire or stuttering
- temp doesn’t get above 160-170 ish after full warm up
- speedo cable disconnected or broken
- minor shuddering under hard braking
- power steering leak
- oil filter adapter leak
- drivers door is wobbly

Plans/dreams:
- stock steelies with jeep hubcaps and pizza cutters 32” or 33”
- regear, currently on 3.73 with 33”s and it’s OKAY. I want 4.56 or 4.88
- Aussie locker rear
- e locker in front
- rock sliders

Just thought I’d share and get people thoughts particularly on the issues. This community kicks ass, tons of knowledge in this sub.

I use the backseat for cargo but a person can go there too. Debating on whether I should convert the stoker seat to a massive cargo box or keep the backseat. It’s pretty slow just me but the the thing hauls ass with a stoker.

Low long and slow

Pick this up on FB marketplace, from a guy down the street. I couldn’t resist. I give my wife rides to work and then get groceries after. The backseat provides awesome cargo opportunities.

Anybody know the origin of this skid? Much better than my crappy plastic splashguard
