UNISA: Accepted for 3rd choice but waitlisted for my first two

Hi everyone! I've been accepted for my third-choice BA, but my first two choices are still waitlisted. I have to accept the offer today or tomorrow, or it will be automatically withdrawn.

If I accept now, can I still be considered for my other choices and switch if I get accepted? Also, what are the chances of getting in when you're waitlisted?

I don't want to lose my spot, but I'd prefer one of my first two choices. Any advice would be appreciated!

Creative Writing

My application status says that due to the high number of applicants, UNISA will only let me know if I’ve been offered a space once they’ve worked through all the applications. I’m just wondering if they’ve started sending out offers for these courses yet, or if anyone has heard anything.

Everything he did, looked devoutly religious.

The way he tied his shoes,

how the laces danced between his fingers—

two contortionists,

their harmony so visceral

it made me nauseous.

In the way he pulled up his socks

and how the hair flattened to his skin,

just as devoted men

in the act of Salah.

How he tucked in his shirt,

creating valleys washed in white.

Everything he did,

he did with intense meaning.

It was beautiful.

He was beautiful.
