Got my emotional support API ammonia test with me
It was a busy day but I still gotta test.

It was a busy day but I still gotta test.
A couple months ago I got a bundle from Juicy Marbles of their filets... Turns out my partner was NOT into them flavor wise.
I have been so scared to do anything but sear and serve them so they have been sitting in the freezer. I saw through Juicy Marbles recipes they had recipes for braising with the loin cut products, so I gambled on the filet. It was the right decision.
I had worried it would become gummy and waterlogged like how some seitan can be when overcooked, but no... This is probably what I will do from here on out.
I seared it (after salting) in a HOT HOT pan with some coconut oil and vegan garlic butter on both sides, just trying to make a good crust. Took it out, browned some onions and garlic, cooked down some tomato paste, put the filets back in, added veggie chicken stock mixed with Maggi seasoning until half way up the filets with some chili powder. Added in some chopped tomatoes and just let it simmer for about 30-40 minutes with the lid on.
The soup is honestly just a "whatever I have" version of chicken tortilla soup, nothing special. But near the last 15 minutes of cooking I broke apart the steaks and put it in with the now thick, salty, acidy braising liquid.
If you struggle with the flavor of Juicy Marbles, I highly recommend playing around with braising. Sorry the pic doesn't show much of the final filet product! 🥲 I didn't think about taking a picture because I was nervous the entire time that I ruined it, haha!
Hi!
We moved into a 70s house and discovered our guest bath has a crazy yellow/green cultured marble countertop that had been painted over white. I did a test area with citristrip and it worked well, I have reapplied it a few times while letting it sit no more than an hour and have gotten off most of the paint and primer but now that we are getting down to having the original countertop uncovered I am getting nervous about leaving the citristrip on too long to get off the bits that remain like most of the seashell sink which is.... Difficult to scrape.
Does anyone have any suggestions for my next steps with the small bits that are difficult to come up? Should I switch to another product that might be better for the cultured marble? I am so nervous about damaging it 🥲
