Further Onboarding details

I received an offer from EY GDS about a month ago and have completed all CIS/EIS documentation, submitted the required background verification documents, and finished 100% of the onboarding portal requirements. I also requested an earlier joining date, and a revised offer letter was issued 15 days ago.

Since then, I haven't received any further communication. My joining date is August 3rd. Could you please let me know if there are any pending steps from my side? Will I be receiving any further emails before joining, including details about NHO (New Hire Orientation)?

Engagement Allocation

Hi everyone,

I recently accepted an offer from EY GDS as a Senior Consultant – Cloud Data Platform Engineer.

My core background is strictly in Data Engineering (SQL, Python, Cloud, Spark, AWS). During the interviews, the whole panel is platform engineer based but one panel focused on my slq, python and cloud background, while another asked about platform/infra tools (Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, Linux). I was honest about having zero hands-on experience with the infra and devops side, but I still cleared the rounds. The interviewers mentioned I would be staffed based on my skills, with room to learn on the job.

However, I noticed my assigned counselor comes from a platform/infrastructure background.

Given this setup, how likely is it that I’ll be staffed on pure Data Engineering projects vs. being pushed into an infra/DevOps-heavy role? Would love to hear from folks within EY GDS or similar consulting setups on how alignment usually works here.

Thanks!

Engagements allocation

Hi

I recently received an offer from EY GDS as a Senior Consultant for the role of Cloud Data Platform Engineer.

I am Data Engineer and my background is primarily in Data Engineering.

During the interviews, one panel focused on SQL, Python, cloud concepts, and my Data Engineering projects. Another panel asked about Kubernetes, Jenkins, Terraform, and Linux. I was honest and told them I don't have hands-on experience with those technologies.

Despite that, I cleared all rounds and received the offer. The interviewers mentioned that my engagements would be based mostly on my skills, with some additional skills expected to be learned on the job.

I also noticed that my assigned counselor appears to be from a platform/infrastructure background, which made me curious.

Is it likely that I'll be staffed on Data Engineering projects given my background?

Designation query

Hey Guys,

I received an offer for Senior Consultant 2 at EY GDS. I am a Data Engineer and my background and resume are focused on Data Engineering, and I interviewed for a Cloud Data Platform Engineer role. During the interviews, I performed well on SQL, Python, and Data Engineering project related topics, but I was not able to answer Platform Engineering/DevOps questions.

The interview panel mentioned that my engagements would be based largely on my skills. Given this, is it likely that I will be assigned to Data Engineering-related engagements, or does the final allocation primarily depend on the counselor/manager I am assigned to?

Accenture Job Application

I have cleared all the interviews, in my candidate profile my job application status was - "interviews completed". The Accenture team reached out to me and said I have cleared the final interview and asked me to submit my documents like pan and payslips as well 10 days ago. But today I got an email saying - "we’ve decided not to take your application further, since you did not clear the assessment". But i haven't given any assessment at all.

10% Bonus expectation

Hey Guys,

I accepted the offer at EY GDS, and the HR mentioned in call while discussing salary that I would receive the standard 10% bonus in October. Since my joining date is in August, does that mean I would receive the full 10% bonus after just two months of employment?

HR Discussion

Hi Guys,

I cleared both interview rounds (Skills and Final) on May 26. The very next day, the Accenture team contacted me and asked me to upload some documents, which I did. Later, they reached out again to correct my full name in the Accenture candidate profile and requested a few additional experience-related documents details like whether I have them with me or not.

They mentioned that HR would contact me after this, but I haven't received any communication yet, it's been around a week. My application status in the portal is currently showing "Interviews Completed."

Has anyone experienced a similar situation?

Offer Letter

Hey guys,

Today I received an offer letter from EY through their DocuSign portal and have already accepted it. However, the joining date mentioned in the offer is 3 months from today, while my notice period at my current organization is only 2 months.

I spoke with the HR, and they mentioned that once I confirm my last working day, they will revise the joining date in the offer letter accordingly. Is this a common practice?

I have already submitted my resignation today. Should I proceed based on the HR's confirmation, or is it advisable to wait until I receive the revised offer letter?

EY GDS hiring process

Hi Guys,

I completed both of my interviews in May 2026 for the Software Engineer position. After finishing my final in-office round, I received an email the next day to submit my CIS documents, which I completed. I also got a call from HR regarding salary discussion, notice period, and related details.

HR asked me to follow up after 3 days, and later informed me that my profile was under compensation approval. Earlier, my EY portal status showed “You are in the hiring phase of our interview process.” Yesterday, it changed to “Background investigation is in progress,” and today it changed back to “You are in the hiring phase of our interview process.”

Is this normal and expected during the hiring process?
