Ozlo Questions and Feedback
Love my Ozlo Sleepbuds 2 so far. I’m new to the brand and have a few questions, suggestions, and pieces of feedback:
1. Sensing Mode Clarification
After I put in my Ozlos, do I need to connect to the app at all? I have them set to Sensing Mode and am wondering if they automatically start playing the offline sound once they detect that I’ve fallen asleep. I’m not sure whether this is clearly documented anywhere.
2. Hybrid Sensing Mode
It would be great to have a hybrid mode that plays offline sounds by default unless audio is actively streaming over Bluetooth. That way, I could put the Ozlos in and immediately have brown noise playing, but if I decide to watch a video or listen to something, it would seamlessly switch to Bluetooth audio and then return to offline sounds afterward.
3. Sleep Data Syncing
Is there a reason sleep data can’t be uploaded gradually throughout the night? I assume battery life is part of the consideration, but if the earbuds still have plenty of battery remaining—or if the alarm is only an hour away—it seems like some syncing could happen in the background. Compared to devices like Oura, the sleep data upload process feels noticeably slower and may have room for optimization.
4. The Sleep Position Analytics
One feature I really liked on the Soundcore A30s was sleep position tracking. They provided a breakdown of how much of the night was spent sleeping on the left side, right side, or back. I’d love to see something similar in Ozlo.
5. AI-Powered Sleep Insights
It would be interesting to have AI analyze sleep trends and provide personalized recommendations, such as:
You tend to sleep longest when you go to bed around 9 PM. You sleep more deeply when ambient noise is minimized. Your sleep quality improves when the room is darker. These kinds of insights could make the sleep data much more actionable. This could add cost to the product, so it would be nice if it’s even possible to export this data in an excel format or something for independent feeding to our favorite AI chatbot.
6. Question About Soar (and other sleep sounds)
When listening to Soar, I occasionally notice a brief pause—maybe one or two seconds—before playback resumes, especially in the early morning when I’m more aware of my surroundings. Is this expected behavior from the audio loop, or could it be a bug?
7. Additional Feature Requests
Make the case button configurable. I’d love options such as single-click or long-press actions for volume control.
Automatically stop the alarm when both earbuds are docked in the charging case.
Would love to hear the team’s thoughts on any of the above, and whether any of these features are already on the roadmap.
