I've tried PotPlayer, VLC, Energy Player, and the Film & TV app from Windows, and they all look exactly the same. The only one that convinces me is Energy Player, because it actually shows information confirming that the movie is running in Dolby Vision.
So, where I can find info in PotPlayer that shows the movie is currently playing in Dolby Vision?
I have ROG PG32UCDM Gen1. Usually, when I play HDR games, I just use HDR10. But this time, I have uncompressed 4K Blu-ray movie that supports both HDR10 and DV, so I turned on Dolby Vision, and it's detected in the settings.
I played the movie using the default Windows "Movies & TV" app, and it looks really good. I tried VLC, and it looks exactly the same. I also tried MPC-HC, but it looks terrible maybe it doesn't support it, or I just don't know how to set it up.
I'm actually satisfied with how it looks, but I want to make sure the movie is definitely running in DV, just like when you watch Netflix on a smart TV (like an LG).
So, how can I confirm that the movie is actually playing in Dolby Vision?
