Question about multiple characters and 3 bases? Will we be able to just teleport across the map to a different character in a different base? That feels wrong for a survival game. Distance needs to matter, and shouldn't be something we can bypass. The 'Distance from home' feeling is everything.

Anyone know how this works?

Example:
If I have a base on the west of the map, and want to travel to the far east, I should have to weigh up if I have the fuel, what time of day is it, what car is suitable for the job, do I want speed or capacity, is it safe etc.

I should not be able to lazily teleport to survivors on my far east side base, and then just use this mechanic to dictate which area I go out in.

TLDR: In a survival game, the journey is everything for immersion and that feeling of 'distance from home', and that 'it's nice to be back after traveling for miles and miles across the map'.

Does anyone know the answer to this? And have the developers addressed this.
Distance should be part of the experience, and not something we can half work around.

RAFA BUFFS! So much good stuff in that patch I can hardly choose a favourite. Thank you GB. 👁️🫦👁️10/10

YES or NO / Do we think GB will actually do any big reworks/substantial build defining buffs for the takedown tomorrow? Rafa needs a lot of help, but I have little faith in GB being proactive enough.

For Rafa I feel we'll still be shoehorned into tedious underbarrel spam and poorly designed janky melee (he needs to go back to being the best/one of the best gunner VHs in the game, he's the solider) - all while C4SH for example flatlines the takedown with no effort (even with just his pistol action skill)

If GB don't have any huge buffs and reworks planned for tomorrow to shake up the meta and especially lift up people like rafa, it'll just be further confirmation GB aren't proactive enough with the changes and feedback the community have been asking for.

We all know C4SH and harlowe and even some Amon builds are going to melt this takedown - fingers crossed GB actually rebalance things across the board for everyone. Tiring opening patch notes and seeing the bare minimum.

If you could have a big rework for you main VH - who is that? And what would it be?
I'd like Rafas lance to get a big rework (augments + capstones + how we play it), and him be able to use ordnance weapons properly (with regen ammo + Bullet Buddy with no more animation interruptions)

Best infinite/high damage ordnance VH?? (outside of Amon). Curious what the community thinks? Is it likely between Harlowe & C4SH. I'm trying to find a Moze rocket VH.

Outside of Amon (as his action skills are just boring imo) who has the best weapon ordnance? (not grenade) I'm looking for easy 'infinite' ammo, rocket spam, 1 shotting is nice but not the main thing, think rapid firerate spamming like moze with a backburner or Sal with Norfleets.

Feel free to rank the VH from 1-5 - I'm curious what people think.

These are some points to consider

  1. Who can Infinite ordnance ammo / near infinite (for both mobbing, and bossing)
    - I know rockets with diffenent mag sizes / pellet counts etc all contribute to this

  2. I know Harlowe has infinite crit for ammo and C4SH has a % war wagon kinetic chance.
Which of these is better? And which is more consistent? For example If I went up against a UVH7 TRUE raid boss with crystals, is that going to be a problem, or if my rocket had a small mag, will the build fall apart? Which VH skill is better and consistent.

  3. Who has the higher damage for ordnance guns (harlowe or c4sh)

  4. Can either of these 2 do insane high damage ordnance builds? Or is it only Amon

  5. If Amon really is the best, by what margin, is harlowe or c4sh close? Or is it night and day

I liked moze for example, because I could guarantee when I got out of IB I had guaranteed 5 seconds of infinite rockets and even with a 1 mag rocket I could rinse it. Was banking on Rafas bullet buddy being this for the 'solider', but they ruined him for a gimmicky grenade/melee tree.

For GB - Melee Rafas mechanics need refining badly. Being honest, I have no idea how someone in that company greenlit this. Adjustments would be appreciated.

Rafas kit is currently pretty abysmal, but I want to focus on just his blades skill.
Forget the concept and damage potential, the idea is veryy cool for a BL game, and the damage so far is certainly very good for melee (something that is very refreshing to see).

The problem, being direct - is it feels absolutely dreadful to play, and I'm genuinely quite shocked at just how poor the movement and lunges have been handled. It's one of the most janky and poorly made melee mechanics I've ever used, it doesn't even have vertical adjustment or good arial control.

IMO It's either:

  1. GB as a studio can't make good melee and this is the best we can except (I very much doubt it).
  2. They rushed it, named it 'this years gimmick' and called it a day (remember they launched the game 1 month early as they assured us it was ready).
  3. Internally no one thought it felt bad (also very unlikely).

I wish they took inspo from a game like warframe for example, or quite literally anything that just had smoother combat.

I would love them to give this skill a once over and refine those janky problems.
+ Let us throw grenades in the skill like cash can (same logic)

VH changes wanted before the TAKEDOWN (reworks/buffs/changes etc) IMO It would be insane not to do some big changes before launch, because many things need lifting up. BUT.... GB.

For me it's Rafa getting some huge buffs and reworks + especially red rafa as it's been the most fun, and importantly making him feel like the soldier/military gunner class again.

  1. Bullet buddy working with heavy ordnance (let rafa be the soldier again GB).
  2. His bottom 3 red augments getting huge adjustments (the missile barrage one should not even cost anything, and feel like mozes iron bear rockets).
  3. Peacekeeper cannons actually being good like C4SHs pistols (without gimicky mixoslist underbarrel set ups, and no I don't want to see the rafa underbarrel removed, it's a bit limiting, but sometimes a fun set up).
  4. Substantial class mod changes across the board for his build variety + dancer revert so we can enjoy high fire rate and speed setups.
  5. Lance reworks (to timed, or no charge) + capstones being better
  6. Melee rafa getting cleaned up, and feeling 100X smoother than it does now
  7. Hemolitions finally being fixed (so we can spam forever if we have the lifesteal)

These are the things I'd like fixed and looked at on Rafa, I want him to feel like the solider military gunner class again, and with that, being one of the absolute best with big ordnance rockets and miniguns etc. It's crazy to me GB made harlowe, and the gunslinger types like C4SH have better and even infinite sustain over the the soldier, Amon should obviously be good with it too, but I'd like to see the solider go back to feeling like the soldier. Guns, ammo, explosives and rockets

UPDATE DAY: Hopes for RAFA! (come on GB 👀)

My hopes for improving Rafa the soldier.

1: Class mods reworks/buffs (his previous from the last DLC for example is awful), idea > grenazerker also adding second projectile to heavies or secondary explosion (fun idea)
2: Hemoltions FIX (green tree bottom grenade spam perk) being fixed - currently it's bugged and always auto kills you even with amazing life steal, we should be able to sustain it with enough %lifesteal, it should feel like moze more.

3: BIG > Heavy Ordnance benefiting from rafas ammo regen perks (he is the SOLDIER CLASS, and the only VH that can't regen heavy or use rockets, soldier class has always been the ammo guy). Let us use bullet buddy in the left hand without putting rockets away please (VEX can hold witchy trigger ability in left and use rocket in right, why can't this logic apply to obvious soldier class Rafa?). Note* BB use to be 8 seconds which was the only way we could use these gimmicky ordnance builds (still very lackluster damage), now it's 4 seconds, so I'd love to see this for new build diversity, the smallest mechanical change would unlock a world of fun for the soldier!

5: Lance buffs + capstone tuning (also let us hold 1 handed ordnance in right without putting lance away)
6: Red tree bottom 3 augments getting some love
7: Green tree melee feeling smoother and less clunky/floaty (like a warframe for example, currently it feels very unpolished).

My opinion on some things to make Rafa feel infinitely more fun and flexible.
