Popular All Season Tires

Just got 26 RS3 with dynamic package that has the HP summer only tires. Living in the North East it means that I am going to need another set of tires before Christmas. We don't get enough snow where I would bother with dedicated set of Winters and really don't feel like having to do seasonal wheel swaps.

I am coming from at mk8 GTI autobahn that came with 19in summers and I put on a set of Conti DSW06+ which I really liked and were super popular on the GTI platform.

Wondering what are the popular choices for the RS3

Leaving Her For Her Hot Cousin

It was a hard choice, but traded my mk8 GTI for a 26 Audi RS3 and had to give up the MT on top of it. The GTI was stage 1 and going further down the tuning stages would be a lot of investment for somewhat limited returns.

I looked at the Golf R and that could go to around 400HP without getting too nuts on the mods. That and WTF did they do to the R grill? Looks like they had some extra EV parts that they needed to use up. Even with the R I would spend $55k and want to put $10k in parts and void the warranty to get it where I wanted.

At that point figured to just take the plunge into a platform that starts at 400HP and I wouldn't feel compelled to immediately have to do mods. Biggest change is the handling and power delivery. The GTI had DCC and 19" and there's a winding road that I would take it on and you really felt on the edge with the GTI. I did it in the RS and it was seriously like a Sunday cruise on rails. That and the "half a lambo" exhaust note from the 5cyl is something that you just can't get from the 4.

This is definitely an awesome community and places like this are why people stay in the VAG family for life.

Purple Reign

Traded the '21 SportS in Gecko Green for '26 Mojave in Purple Reign. Big jump in creature comforts and ride.

Piano black no more

I found a black wrap that has the same honeycomb pattern as the dash trim and wrapped the shifter trim including the silver part. Then applied the One Bite Mini leather trim and just about all of the piano black is covered. There's some on the side piece. Skiped because can't really notice and was concerned about trying to match patterns across two complex shape pieces.
