Overwhelmed and somewhat scared first timer

First time canner.. ever. Even my mom didn't do it. But she bought a pressurized canning set and gave it to me and my garden is overflowing with jalapenos and miscellaneous veggies so I decided to buy what else was needed and start(cans the bubble remover, pickling salt). And I've had hiccups ever since so my jalapenos keep getting older because I feel like I never have all the right stuff but then recipes call for the weirdest things I've never heard of an have to Amazon in.

For reference I was going to pickle my jalapenos with the recommendation from you guys a few weeks ago! (See below) And the pickling salt came in but now it's talking pickling lime!? So would have to order that. But then there's a recipe for pickled hot peppers that I feel I can do today!?

I'm just hoping someone with more experience can tell me maybe it's not as daunting as it seems. I'm just nervous to do this and allow my family to eat these canned food one day but I don't want to waste produce or time (3 kids 3 and under is rough).

Is pickling lime really needed for mild jalapenos or will they taste good still with the hot pepper recipe?

Is there a video or YouTuber you recommend watching to have a better idea of how to do it right? I notice a lot say 'this is NOT USDA safe' so tough to filter through.

What tips have you learned through trial and error that you swear by?

I have all the canning set but what ingredients do you always keep stocked that aren't "normal" for most non canners (i.e pickling salt)?

I really appreciate it all, just feeling super overwhelmed

Grand bazaar or doreamon friends??

Both are at the top of my list, but wondering which to get first?

I do like that Doraemon can be played couch co-op with my husband. But I do solo play a lot more

For game likes dislike:

I love Pokopia, stardew is meh to me, I'm enjoying Wylde flowers currently, but the farming process/money system is a little slow for my liking (I just don't have a lot of time and it took me over a week in 2-3 hour increments to finally get that second plot) but loooove the story and theme.

I enjoy having some control over decor or it being a part of building in the game, I like a normal progression of a story and not 100% of my time spent farming/mining/fishing for resources (like I feel in Wylde flowers I'm spending HOURS just fishing and mining to get enough for basic things)

I prefer 3D type games compared to the likes of Stardews

I just want to rotate something new in for when Wylde flowers feels slow and I don't have the inspiration for pokopia

Update on my swallowtail caterpillars!

They ended up eating all of my dill plants and were trying to crawl out of my garden bed so I went to the organic grocery store and bought a bunch of carrots and cut the tops (yes I washed them) and planted the tops down and moved all the little guys over so they could keep munching! #SaveThePollinators!!!

Two days ago I posted and now this...

This is my middle blueberry bush.

I posted the first photo 2 days ago and asked about the far left maybe having a fungal and I added acid to my soil...

And then today I came out and my middle bush looks like this 😭

Tell me it's maybe the acid not fire blight but dang they are dying fast

Do I need to rip out this bush?

Been struggling with whatever this infection is, I've sprayed with copper fungicide, but branches look this red and sometimes full branches die (I do cut back dead branches and dip in alcohol between)

Its right next to 2 others and then I have 5 bushes up front and just don't want to lose the rest of this is spreadable.

There's a good amount of mulch at the roots, I water at the base. Zone 8b, humid climate pretty much getting rain every other day in short afternoon thunderstorms.

Just need to know if this is beyond saving and need to toss and plant with a smaller one. Was planted in May this year

Wylde flowers vs moonlight peaks?

For reference I love Pokopia, but tried stardew valley and idk if it's lack of tutorials, but I'm really not enjoying it/getting into it because I have zero clue about what to even do and as a gamer with only 2 hour increments to play (during kids nap times) I don't have hours to keep wandering around trying to figure out what to even do.

But because I loved pokopia and I'm trying to stay off of Apex Legends for less of a cortisol spike in looking for a good cozy game.

Out of the Wylde flowers and moonlight peaks which do you prefer and why? Mechanics wise, being able to get into the game and stay in the story vs feeling lost with no direction? Longevity of play.

Thanks so much! And please don't come for me about stardew I know it's loved, but not every game is for everyone

Anyone play these games? Looking for new fun two player and solo games

Anyone play these games?

Looking for new fun two player and solo games (currently enjoying pokopia and raiders) I'm mostly a Pokemon lover and haven't really played much outside of those and splatoon and the regular party games on the switch (I do know I don't enjoy things like xenoblade/Zelda):

Kind of eyeing and would love opinions on:

Split fiction

Moonlight peaks

Stardew (but this one I'm not sure about this one because it seems like a lesser version of pokopia??)

Games I think don't look fun that are widely suggested: overcooked, Tomodachi

So please send some recs that are more off the normal Google path and if anyone's played moonlight I'd love to know!

Is the first edition okay?

I ordered this online and got the first edition back in 2006... I know there was a 2024 update, is this version of the book even considered safe anymore?

Really proud of my bleak beach

Got some design inspo from Instagram, and ran with it all.

This is my only completely rebuilt area and it's been my labor of love for 2-3 months since I can only play about 2 hours a day.

I love my welcome center by the boat, the beach side splash pad/water park, beach side arcade, I love the laundry mat which I found inspo from Instagram and the massive resort with beach pier.

I'm definitely not creative and needed the help for ideas but really proud of where it all landed.

Is this a fruit tree?

I've planted other fruit trees, but this was left by my back garden by previous owners. Google lens gives a different answer every time. Thought it might be a peach? Google thought avocado at one point (it also think it's an oak, cherry....)

Just hopeful it's a fruit but no flowers or fruits seem to be on it in the one year we've been here and it's pretty big I assume it may not be (I did cross post into other tree groups with no response)

Is my bartlett a goner?

Got really sick and they were left in their containers while I was in the hospital for 2 weeks and were watered only once a day through heat wave (9b). Transplanted a week ago, watering every day and have done tree bags 2 days the last week since I'm back and able to care for them.

Do we think it'll make it? Do you think I'm over watering at this point?

A novice here just trying to add more trees to my neighborhood

Help a beginner who's overloaded with information

Im new. First time having a back yard that actually stays warm.

I believe I'm in zone 8b/9a? Central Alabama in the Montgomery area.

I've watched a lot of videos and I'm googling my issues every day, but really need some personal feedback.

I started my squash and potatoes in march, I got one harvest with the squash/zucchini and then lost them all to borers and squash bugs. I was constantly spraying Captain jacks, killing the ones I saw and killing the seeds, but they still took over. I mean EVERY DAY, I was out there. --- what actually works in this area to stop them besides the hard chemicals?

I have 3 blueberry bushes that have the fungal infection (I think blight). Im using the Captain jacks copper, I'm using the fruit tree spray, and it does not seem to be improving, but they aren't dying (I think). I know there's pre emergent but I'm in the post emergent part...

I still have blackberries, raspberries, bell pepper, jalapeno, basil holding on, but wondering if there's any preventative sprays or things I should really focus on to make sure they don't die/get diseases.

I have an orange, apple and avocado tree that were left by previous home owner and trying to not kill those either

Also any suggestions for seedlings I should start now for a fall harvest? Since I just lost my entire squash planter 🥲

If anyone has book suggestions or video links I'll take them as well!! I'm just researching so much and feel like I've now taken in too much information I don't know what to do anymore Lol

Eeveelutions HOA

My passion project before complete rebuilds of each zone.

Open to advice or opinions! I'm by no means artistic at all

** Have not unlocked every recipe so texturally plan to change Sylveon when I get some of those funs building block prints.

Thoughts on my Eevee builds?

I definitely have not unlocked every recipe before starting these in pallete town. (Only level 8 environment level everywhere else) Husband thinks they're not bad, some of me just wonders where I'm lacking?? With comparison being the thief of my joy 😂

(Also why is black paint not BLACK in the game but more of a grey?)
