A good number of seats have sold but there are a lot of blue dots on the floor…
This would be my first time seeing them live. Does anyone have experience or insight into the likelihood of this show being (god forbid) cancelled? 😞

The pros outweigh the cons, but there are new problems I’ll live with, and that is the reality a lot of us live with!
Sharing as I don’t often see posts explaining what life is like years after this surgery:
I am overall happy with the final result. I am one of the cases where this surgery DID markedly improve breathing issues by pulling forward the soft tissues and correcting lip incompetence. I had all necessary orthodontic work done prior to the surgery.
My stitches inside my bottom lip are still “healing” four years later. A lot of tightness. It takes a lot of time for some people (I’ve since learned I have a connective tissue disorder). I get Botox in my chin and DAO to relieve dimpling and discomfort.
Numbness only remaining on the bottom left of my chin, about 5mm radius. It’s not enough to bother me but that’s something of note.
Deep labiomental crease. This was an inevitable result of the surgery based on my anatomy. I do have a bit of a witch’s chin when I smile. I have learned to accept and love my new face but it was a weird mental hoop to jump through.
This was technically a “botched” surgery. At my follow up appointment, my surgeon said I qualify for a free revision surgery under public health insurance because of the persistent tightness. This would comprise removing the metal plate. However, the risk is not worth it to me—I’d likely have a full-on witch’s chin. I am not doing the second surgery.
I hope this is helpful to anyone considering getting a sliding genioplasty and/or early in their healing journey.
I’m on month 2 of Slynd. It got rid of my period entirely.
Prior to this I was on Ozempic for 5 months due to PMOS (gained 35 lbs in 2 weeks and a slew of autoimmune issues). Until this past week, I steadily lost 18 lbs.
But in the past week alone, I’ve gained 5 lbs back. I’m active and eating the same.
I feel sluggish and bloated, I am scared of what my lack of period is doing to my body, and I’m so frustrated that this is the only birth control option for me right now (migraine with aura = can’t take estrogen).
Anyone else in the same boat? Particularly with the zero periods and gaining weight while using Ozempic?
I’m Japanese-Iranian like Marina, and I really see myself in her in the sense that I too have learned to be a people pleaser (to a frustrating fault) as a result of growing up around traumatic, turbulent situations. It’s a survival tactic. (Also, Ruru reminds me of my mom—and I love how she stands up for Marina haha.)
Watching Hikaru’s mean girl behaviour toward her, then seeing the guys pile up on her and act so degradingly, has triggered me so much. I’ve never felt so parasocially enraged watching a TV show lol.
Plus, I’m majorly side-eyeing the producers for allowing this type of environment for someone who is clearly very traumatized and only at the start of her healing journey.
This type of reality TV edit is what led to Terrace House being cancelled.
Anyway, just needed to vent. I see similar posts showing support for Maririn and it warms my heart to see the general public can see the situation for exactly what it is.

was reminiscing on Ari’s old days on socials. I can’t remember if this was pre- or post-Yours Truly, but she had a pretty active fan named Gianna and one day Ariana got a hashtag trending that was called like #GiannasParty. she encouraged everyone in the fandom to pretend to attend a virtual listening session hosted by that fan, lol.
sounds silly but i’m feeling nostalgic for those days. we were all so young and Ari was having a lot of fun talking to us online & growing her fanbase. this is back when she’d be doing follows sprees & DMing us the link to her (now deactivated) facebook.
i’m probably aging myself, but hopefully there are some other older fans here who remember! haha
…uh, in my experience, it has been an excruciatingly painful 36 hours post-endoscopy.
During the scope itself I was in tears at how much it was hurting my throat and the nurses kept telling me to just vomit on the towel placed under my face if I needed to. Biopsies were taken that felt like sharp pinches. The right side of my throat and my entire lower abdomen have been sore since.
I think maybe I wasn’t sedated enough. I did need extra sedation for a colonoscopy previously. But man, that sucked. And I went in so worry free!
Venting but also posting in case anyone needs validation that it can, in fact, hurt like a bitch. Because all I heard and read were stories of how it’s easy peasy!
