How to fix this texture & redness :(

My skin actually looks good from afar (just turned 50) but is such a mess close up! I always get flare ups of these fleshy bumps, blotchiness and Ive had very visible pores and sebaceous glands since I was a pre-teen! A couple months ago a facialist got overly aggressive (fruit enzyme peel and aquabrasion and extractions) and my barrier was destroyed for 6 weeks. Now it’s back to “normal” and I really want to work on this texture but not sure what to do. I react badly to vitamin c products in the past and I know I’m late to the game but I’m just about to start prescription retinol from my GP. Any other tips for me?

I’d like to purchase a gift card for someone who lives roughly equal distance from both these malls. I’m not familiar with either so not sure if one is the better choice?
