Go train first?
For all the talk of extending the subway, why can’t we have a functional Milton go train line which seems much easier? Anytime I want to go downtown I HAVE to go before 8:50 or take a super slow bus that only comes once an hour??? Can we have some more trains up here???? Maybe there isn’t enough population in the north?

Can someone explain all the auditor talk?
Basic government question here! 2 mayoral candidates are talking about wanting independent auditors to review the budget line by line. I was listening to the Pointer podcast and they said how some city (I forgot) hired an auditor and they found out they were spending X% on staffing and it was so much money!
I work at a non-profit, so I have one particular view of what an auditor does which is just to confirm your books are accurate. So if you say you have $X in office expenses, you really do. etc.
BUT it's not like they aren't doing bookkeeping and accounting throughout the year. I can go on the Mississauga website and they have transparent budget and spending reports. They no doubt are categorizing their expenses in real time as every business and organization does.
So this audit they're talking about seems different? Like it's an assessment of whether the spending is on something worthwhile....? There's some analysis done about whether they SHOULD be spending that money or something? Can anyone explain this to me? :)

Bathroom in food district
Lol honestly I walked in, saw this, and had to take pics to make this post. This is the state of the women’s bathroom in the food district at square one😐
Ladies, do u not know how to act? Like is this the state of ur bathroom at home? I’m actually disgusted, in the food district too? If you’re gonna rinse your mouth in the sink, run the water over it so it goes down the sink, pick up after yourself, flush the toilets, and toilet paper (as the name states) usually goes in the toilet😔 I don’t even want to begin to imagine what the men’s looks like.
I didn’t want to gross people out and take pics of the toilets, but out of 8 stalls (6 were free) there was 1 with no shit in it. There was other things I should’ve taken pics of but I needed to get out of there tbh😭😭 anyways there’s my little rant

Riverwood Park this morning
Summer is over but I'm glad to be done with the crazy heat. It's a great time of year to go outdoors—the leaves are changing colour and many species of migratory birds are stopping over in Mississauga before continuing their flights! The Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker (last pic) is the only species of sapsucker woodpeckers found in Ontario and can (typically) only be seen in Mississauga during their spring and autumn migrations from March to May and September through October.
