Economy soo bad that Waterloo like 2024 and before used to give like a gift card or something to that extent, last time I did a survey I got $10 or something but now they’re asking for 10-15 of your time for nothing like cmon don’t be that stingy and they dont stop emailing you

I have this crush from this school club back years ago, never really spoke other than club related stuff. Not sure if she’s in a relationship or married but I was wondering on how to go about this……

What is going on here.

The protests are pretty hot in news recently and just looking over these videos I’ve seen a lot of these protests seem heavily staged. Like there’s food and stations lots of “support” like I thought it was a protest. Also lot of prayer gatherings (not against it but it was preaching their faith to grant them “victory”). This cannot be a regular protest, it just doesn’t seem right to me as we’ve legit never seen this magnitude of protest for a PGWP ever really. We can all agree that there was some sort of deception that these students were sold but grand scheme of things but they should know that you can “buy” your PR or PGWP, now how it works no matter your tuition or taxes you’ve paid (we’ve paid more but that’s not the point now). I’m sick of these protests.

Getting very annoyed as this is popping on my feed and it’s pissing me off when the protesters say we deserve fair treatment, which is totally fair by the government like they can’t just bend rules, seems that only one group is not understanding this. I get it they spent all their life savings on a trash education, but they got it? I know their consultant scammed them for a guaranteed PGWP but it was a useless program that was for credit only. Gov of Canada realized very quickly how bad this turned out and put a pause on it all. The reality is they don’t wanna hear no for an answer cuz they did get fair treatment. They got what they paid for. Now it’s not the governments fault they were trying to scam the system, and I’m sure a lot of them are working under the table but this has to stop. Like no one ever got a career off these whack colleges, portage included. Like wth is tourism and business management.

Another thing is they paid 3x the tuition is a ridiculous argument, it’s cuz they dont pay taxes for a system that runs by taxes so they don’t get subsidy…. Hate when international students argue this, it’s not international students it’s just Indian students. There I said it. It’s a brutal truth that they don’t understand, never seen international students behave like this. Some are fortunate through their merit to get roles in their careers and Canada truly benefits from.

Past few days (and before that) it’s been hell on this subreddit just seeing people on long wait times to reach their customer service department who’s halfway across the country and can barely assist/communicate to you. Telecommunications is a mafia in Canada and the consumers are always the ones affected by this greedy trash organization. There I said it, using Roger’s my whole life (time to time switching with bell ) but it’s more or less the same customer service tbh.

He did weekly check in’s and stuff like that including watching my training vids I sent him, but ever since I gave him notice that I’m canceling the service starting June 1st he never took my remaining 3 weeks serious and basically ignored me in which one week was a vacation he went on. I used affirm to pay for this and the last payment just left and I was wondering should I dispute the charge of 75% of that? I almost let it go but it was too much, though the program was pretty good overall besides this problem. (He also said in his contract I signed that I will not dispute with this the bank but again he didn’t give me the service I sought and just ignored my message for over a month). As a trainer what would you do?

There’s def some gray areas but overall I think degrees are becoming more and more worthless, and ofc your major matter and what you’re able to leverage from that. From Waterloo alumni speaking I think it’ll depend on your field and the school holds a strong reputation

Just a friendly reminder to be responsible and have fun safely when going to gatherings or public. Kinda sucks it’s mid of the week but let’s not let that ruin this beloved day, and also check in with a friend. It’s nice to kind of detach from work/school for a day mid of the week.

That’s insane, I will continue to say this but Walmart also needs to be investigated with their discriminatory employee hiring. Also I’m South Asian too, from Pakistan to be specific

Can we please behave on Canada Day? I’ve celebrated this beloved day since I was a child and now mid 20s and trus me the celebration over the past years are not Canadian traditions. Please also pick up after yourselves in public spaces. This is a duty of all and to protect the environment and no one should pick up after you.

Edit: this is obviously directed to those who know they’re about to act out of line, go beyond (remember it is a workday the next day). Ofc stay safe and have fun! You know who you are.

Was renewing my membership today and there was barely a line yet I felt soo overstimulated

Some of my courses allowed you to submit your work twice or as many times to reduce your score and or make changes accordingly while some courses only allow ONE submission. That one submission would be driving me crazy since I would be reviewing it to see why there’s matches (even if the number is like 5-6% similarity- which doesn’t mean much since it depends if your work has been cited properly) but let’s say longer essays you missed one or two then you would be on the hook for a potential policy violation
