Best shockproof and waterproof iPad case?
Is there any good iPad case anymore that is both shockproof and waterproof?

Hi!
I've spoken to 2 brokers who can help me apply for a HELOC and they aren't telling me the same thing.
Background: We own a house, no mortgage. We bought the house this year (January).
Sorry if this isn't the right post for this group!
I want to get a line so I can put swings ladders, nets, etc, up for my kid. I'd rather not do a ready made kit because I know exactly what my kid wants and doesn't want, and I'd be paying a lot for a bunch of crappy quality stuff that he isn't into (or a LOT for good quality stuff he isn't into).
I assume I can buy a slackline individually - I need 65'. Where would I buy that?
And then I'll buy the items separately, but how do I attach them to the slackline and not have them slide all around?? Like clearly a caribener alone isn't going to work!
Ok so I’m on great Canadian Sox and reading that they’re great!
I can never find the right socks for me. Bombas, for example, are super tight on my calves. I run VERY hot so I assume I want ankle socks.
And I have a couple of double layer pairs for running but like I just went out in one for a few hours - walking, playing with kid, standing, and the bottoms of my feet are sore from friction???
So what summer socks would be good?
My partner wants to just get my aunt's car for a year and see how we use it, how much we use it, and what we'd want. I think it's a waste of money... and I wondered if theres a cheaper way to get a temporary car?
Our kid briefly climbed on someone’s car (we stopped him and took him down).
He said our kid dented car but we saw no dents. But we gave him our number in case.
From the beginning he seemed like a scammer. He said that it was verrrrry expensive to replace and required completely removing the roof and putting a new one on, re painting, re sanding, etc “but he’d only charge us a fraction”.
He asked if we’d pay via e transfer. Via text, before even giving a quote he said again “will you pay via e transfer” and sent us his photos where I still saw no dent. We did NOT commit to paying (he hadn’t told us any amount or anything) and just said get a quote and then we can discuss. This made him mad apparently so the next day he said after cleaning his car he found deep scratches. Still no quote.
We don’t actually think our kid caused any damage - definitely not the scratches based on our kids shoes and the fact that they were only visible after washing his car ????
At this point my insurance broker / friend said to stop dealing with this guy who isn’t even giving us a rough estimate and tell him to go to insurance.
So we did and we gave him our insurance info. This made him really mad. He said “I have video proof! Still want to go through insurance??” And we said yes.
Today he said “my parents have said we aren’t going through insurance and we’re just going to sue you. Still don’t want to settle?”
So my question is…… CAN you just sue someone without involving insurance for a claim that should be very small (since absolutely nobody says a dented roof that is small enough that it’s hardly visible and in the middle of the roof is very expensive?). Can we just have our insurance deal with him suing us?
Ok so here's the situation:
Is there a default PIN??? I tried all 6 digit combos that would be my birthday...
Hi!
I scoured all the past posts for a chair for someone who's only 5' tall. I got super helpful advice, and have narrowed down to the following and wondering what people's thoughts are?
I see a few Canadian made petite chairs online but can't find any reviews of them at all from real people.
Where would you go work where I can use my laptop and headphones that’s near Creditview / Britannia or streetsville area?
Was going to sign up for freedom but I notice in this sub Reddit that there are frequently deals. Should I wait a month and wait for a deal?
And are there better deals in person in the store versus online?
This is a longshot but in 2 days we're moving back to Canada via the land border (probably Peace bridge). We will have to pull over to do the customs / moving thing. We can't bring my kid inside (I mean... we could... but it wouldn't go well and they wouldn't appreciate it!). So my plan is for me to just go in.
I know they "accommodate disabilities", but I'd like to know in advance what this means. I assume we first have to drive up to the counter, and then go to the building. Can we tell the counter person about our access needs? Do I go into the building and find some specific counter to tell them?

Longshot... but did anyone rent a car and move to Canada (and then return the car to a rental place in Canada)?
I assume I have to do nothing at all at customs, besides maybe have the rental proof on hand? But just making sure!
TLDR - need to activate esims and can’t. So I can’t call support because now I have no phone number???
I wanted to port my number to Google voice and then get a new T-Mobile number. I’m the primary account holder for my magenta family plan.
Contacted support and they said go ahead and port it and then ask for another number.
Ported to Google voice. Then my account seems to have… done something weird. T life app just keeps saying there was an issue and refresh.
I managed to “add a line” to my account, paid, etc. Got no email verification but I see the line now in my plan.
But I can’t activate my eSIM on the t life app. Says it can’t be activated and call support. (And I don’t have the Sim security protection on).
The problem is I *cant* call support. I’ve tried using WhatsApp, WiFi calling on phone and computer. It won’t dial. Google tells me maybe I can’t call 1-800 numbers this way??
So now I’m stuck. I apparently have a number. I can’t use it on my phone. I can go to a T-Mobile store if I have to but it won’t be easy to do quickly.
Tried contacting support on FB but I couldn’t figure out how to fill their authentication form (what phone number?) and now the guy just isn’t responding to me.
Any advice??
Is there somewhere I can buy an ice cream cake where they’ll print a picture on edible thing and put it on the cake?
I had been wanting to sign up for a 5k this spring (started running a bit from last summer). On a whim I signed up for a 10k. This was a 10k where you can do 1 loop around the park for a 5k, 2 for a 10k or 4 for a half marathon.
I figured I can walk it if I want and if I really don’t feel like doing a second loop I can just stop after 1 and have it be a 5K. Also knowing there’d be people doing 4 loops would take the pressure off.
In the lead up to today I never quite managed to run a 10k. Once I did 9.6 :). A couple of 8 - 8.5.
I didn’t care about speed but I still did way faster than I thought I would!
And I placed 17th in my age bracket (out of the 24 people in my bracket who ran!)
We have our COA hearing in 2 weeks, and our architect just asked me if I had "talked to the neighbors and gotten their signatures".
We didn't know that was a thing and we're out of the country for the next few weeks, so we can't do that.
Is this really important??
For context, we're doing a third floor addition and many people on this street, including our one and only next door neighbor, have already done third floor additions.
Does anyone know why I may have seen multiple people in the past week wearing full Tigger costumes? Like full onesies with the Tigger face hood?
Totally different contexts...
One Black man in line at the TD bank. And then one white woman walking into the fancy grocery store beside Industrious...
Do people typically do a layer of insulation under aluminum siding? I think this isn’t in the wall, it’s with the siding?
