Need help with printing for Print then Cut!

Whenever we try to print from Cricut mobile app, the images from Cricut become like this. The black are either not there or really thick. The pictures I uploaded turn out fine.

When we try to print on the desktop app, the blacks are fine but the colors are lacking and washed out.

We use Brother TCP T720dw. I don't know if it's the printer or something in the desktop/mobile app that doesn't fit well.

Tried saving it as PDF from both mobile and desktop, producing the same results.

Any help on this?

What is this thing?

My very sweet husband surprised me with a cricut maker 4. He opened everything and threw the boxes away. I’ve looked all over the internet but I cannot for the life of me figure out what this is lol.

Advice on aprons

My friend who works at a restaurant is asking me about customizing 50 aprons with names. I’d love to do it for the money, but my question is realistically how long would they even last? It’s a busy chain restaurant, & i know the right iron on vinyl will last around 50 washes, but with how heavily the aprons will be washed i don’t know if it’s realistic. I feel like it’d make more sense for them to be embossed by someone who does that. (Not me haha)

Does anyone have any advice if i should still do it, but give her a heads up on the potential longevity? & any tips/tricks to make it last longer? Open to any feedback.

Is this possible?

Someone asked if I could do this and the image looks a bit AI so I am unsure if it’s possible.

how to reduce colors in an SVG?

Hiya!

Still new to Cricut Design Space and I am trying to upload some photos as SVGs (converted using Adobe Express from jpg/png to svg). Problem is, when I upload them I have a massive number of layers due to the tiny subtle differences in colors, see photo. How do I simplify the colors to get an easy cut? Help please!!

PLEASE NOTE: this photo is not my artwork! I am not intending on making anything using it, I am only using it to trouble shoot the layers issue since it appears to only be 4 simple colors.

Cut is way off even after calibration

I cut one sheet, same sheet and it was completely fine. The second sheet looked like this, so I stopped and calibrated, everything looked great, and this is the third attempt. Nothing was changed after the first sheet, i printed all 3 at the same time. In general I’ve noticed the cuts have been off more often lately, but never this bad. Does anyone know what might be wrong? 😔 I feel like I’m going crazy

I do save them as a pdf so i can print multiples at once, or other sheets while waiting for one to finish cutting, but i didn’t have problems with doing that over the last year or so.

Scrap ideas?

I cut out a bunch of little shapes on this cardstock and I'm trying to come up with ways to use the scraps. Does anyone have any ideas? They look really cool stacked too!

CricutJoyXtra Decal 36 inch

I’m still new to using my Cricut Joy Extra, so sorry in advance if I’m missing something. I originally bought it for small crafts, but my husband asked if I could make a decal for his work truck.

After watching a few YouTube videos, I learned I could make larger designs using the splice tool. I managed to splice everything, but I really don’t like how the bottom text (“Lawn Service…”) ends up sliced. It looks like it’ll be a nightmare to weed.

Does anyone have suggestions for how to make this easier or a better way to handle the bottom lettering?

For reference, I used an 8x8 square as my mat guide, and the full design is 36 x 21. I’m a complete beginner, so any tips would help.

Massive issue with Explore 2

No matter what I do after following all of the trouble shooting steps the darn design space software won't load, it's on an infinite loading wheel. I can't even access any of the buttons or anything.

I even bought a new laptop to see if that was the issue, but after loading it onto that one It still isn't loading!

Where did the colors go?

Anyone else having this issue? I’m working off an iPad, and I no longer have the option to change the color of my material. It’s just completely missing from the tool bar.

Transfer tape

I’ve found that Cricut’s strong transfer tape is too strong and has ripped parts of the decal. What brand is strong enough to put on another layer, but will come off when needed?

I usually give clients their decals with transfer tape on top so they can apply it correctly.

Thanks in advance.

Previously used vector. Cut is now starting from opposite end of mat.

Hello. Pretty much as per title.

Single vector in the cutting file, saved as SVG. No mirroring.

The file always used to start the cut from the top of the mat and work towards the bottom, as most files seem to when I send them to the cutter from design space. Now it starts from the bottom instead which - for reasons - is not helpful at all.

I have tried flipping, rotating etc, I have tried making a brand new version of the file. Nothing I have tried fixes it. Has anyone else experienced this, and if so, did you find a fix? Many thanks.

Edit to add: Maker Model 335

First paper portrait!

I got my cricut to get into paper art and I just finished my first portrait. It's my niece on her first irish dance win at the prelim level.

My glue skills/putting together leave a lot to be desired so if anyone has feedback I'd love it

How do I make this stick?

So I made this last year but because of the material of the mug the decal peels off. What's the better way to do it? Stencil and paint? (And if so, what kind of paint?) Different vinyl? (I used permanent) Is there any way to make it using this mug?

What’s the deal?!

Trying to print a project. This is what it’s doing. How do I fix this? It runs like it’s going to open the page to click “make it” and then it goes to the project image page and displays nothing!
