Giving this a shot. I'm a neurodivergent male revert looking for a Muslimah located in the European Union to complete my Deen

Age and Gender: 44, male

Height: 166 cm.

Age Range that I would want/require in a prospect: 27-40 +-

Location: Spain. Spanish citizen. Looking for someone already living in the European Union. Nationality and ethnicity, though, are not important at all.

Ethnicity: Hispanic, originally from Latin America. Frequently mistaken for a Spaniard born here, though that's just to provide an idea of my appearance, as ethnicity is irrelevant to me. Of course, open to mixing.

Marital Status: single, no children.

Ideal marriage timeline: 1 year +-

Five important characteristics I look for in a prospect: religious, hijabi, kind, patient, sympathetic.

Level of religiosity: Practising Sunni muslim, I follow the Shafi madhab, though they're all correct if followed properly. I'm far from perfect but I intend to improve my character and the way I understand and live my religion.

Level of education: Bachelor's in Spanish and literature, with only my dissertation remaining to get my master's degree in literary studies. I speak Spanish (native language), English (fluently), can read French well and speak it at a basic level, know some Latin, and I'm also studying Arabic (just started learning the language) and fiqh currently.

Current Job Status: In the process of getting a position in the civil service as a librarian and aiming for other opportunities as well, like possibly launching a business of linguistic assistance services, including but not limited to English and Spanish teaching, translation and proofreading.

Do I want kids? Yes

Hobbies: reading, writing, a hot chocolate or coffee in a cozy or quiet environment, going for an ice cream, visiting a bookshop, a library, museums, and the like.

Something short about me: I'm autistic, so I pay attention to details beyond what most people do!

Women Giving Dawah in Public

Assalamu alaikum.

I find this video very interesting. It deals (in general terms) with the topic of the rulings that would apply to women scholars or Muslim women in general giving dawah in public, by analysing summarily a post from a Muslim woman where she gives examples of women who have taught Islam in a way or another.

I would like to know what your opinion on this topic is, considering that there are so many videos on our feeds nowadays that show women preaching Islam and I think we should be mindful of the content we watch.

Question about the current situation of Muslims in India: how are you doing after the latest elections that took place there a few weeks ago?

Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters.

A few weeks ago I heard that there were elections in India and some Muslim brothers and sisters were concerned about their situation over there. I'm a revert living in the West and I'd like to know more about how other Muslims are doing elsewhere, so I'd appreciate it if someone could provide some context or information about the situation for Muslims in India at the moment.

Jazak Allahu khayr.

Question for Muslims wanting to migrate to Europe

Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh.

Brothers and sisters, this is an honest question. I've noticed that the trend among Muslims from different countries: Arab in general, from Sub-Saharan Africa, the Indian subcontinent, Pakistan, Gulf countries, and South East Asia, wanting to migrate to Europe, is not decreasing at all. I'd really like to know what is moving so many people to still want to come to lands of different cultures, languages and mentality. Is it really so bad over there?

Meanwhile, I find myself sometimes wishing I could simply leave for a country where Islam is the religion followed by the majority, even if not practised perfectly, so I could increase in knowledge by having easier access to scholars and masjids, where Arabic is not a rarity, where at work people accept practising the Sunnah more easily, in shaa Allah, and so on. Yeah, I'm aware it wouldn't be Jannah, of course, but you know what I mean.

At the same time, I am left thinking: if we all make hijrah to Muslim lands, who will be left to call people to Islam in ours?

Do you know of English-, Spanish-, or French-speaking Muslim poets or fiction writers?

DISCLAIMER: This post is not intended to break Rule 11 (I posted it on another subreddit about Islam and I'm a Muslim myself.) I merely intend to find out what's published out there. Of course, I'm ok with the mods removing the post if they think it's better.

Assalamu alaikum, brothers and sisters.

This is a question for my master's degree dissertation. My field is literary studies.

Do you know of Muslim writers who have authored poetry or fiction in English, Spanish or French? I don't mean translations from Arabic, Urdu or Persian, but something originally written in the aforementioned languages. Of course, I mean works with Islamic values, not what is usually published by the mainstream publishing industry, though I'd consider it if you know of something interesting.

Barakallahu feekum!

Scammer around

Assalamu alaikum.

It's just to let my brothers and sisters here know that there is a scammer around with a story about being from Gambia and having a hard time there. He/she has done this before under other usernames. Be careful, usually they are lying about their situation. I'm attaching a screenshot of one of the messages sent to me.

Fi amani Allah!
