Ah don’t mind me lads, I’m definitely part of the recovery convoy
Clearing out some old board games and found this 2005 Irish version of Monopoly. The minimum bank note is €10k, going all the way up to €5m. You build apartments instead of houses and the hotels are 20 storey high-rises. But the real gold is on the Chance cards, a few samples attached. Question is, have we looped around sufficiently for this version to be valid again?
Amazon UK currently has a deal for 3 months of Prime for £4.99. However, with the €3 per item tax coming in July and nerfing pretty much all non-EU purchases, it feels like this might be a waste of time? Apart from occasionally watching Prime Video (not much there that appeals or I haven‘t seen already) is there any point to a UK Prime sub at this stage? I know it’s only small money, but a fiver’s a fiver! 🤪
As per the title - We bought this signed print way back in 2008 and it’s sat in its box ever since. I have no idea if there’s a market for these, or where to list it if there is. Any ideas?
Good people of Reddit - It is now well over 2 years since Simon’s Place in George’s Arcade shut it‘s doors (enjoy your well deserved retirement, Simon!), meaning the legendary cinnamon rolls they used to serve were cruelly taken from us. These lads:
In that time I have sampled pretty much every cinnamon roll between the canals, and while some are admittedly delicious, none come close to the unique gooey-sticky-doughy-flaky-pastry masterpieces from Simon’s. I am jonesing for them so bad, so I would love to know if anyone has come across the recipe and is willing to share so I can make them at home. This has come up before on a previous thread
https://www.reddit.com/r/Dublin/comments/1d4ccto/simons_place/
where the OP claims in the comments that the recipe was posted to the Simons Facebook page, but I can’t find it anywhere and now I’m doubly jonesing knowing that the recipe may well be out there in the wild just beyond my grasp. Can anyone help?
