Ribbons and ribbon boxes!

Here's my ribbons (also my roomies ribbons). Also thanks to u/reddit_corndog for the ribbon box 3d file! I printed the lanyard version in orange and swirlycolor.

Edit: silly me, I should have put the link to the box, here it is!

We went to Ancient Lore Village in West Tennessee (twice)

I'm surprised there hasn't been much talk of this place in the sub. I learned of this place on social media several years ago, and it's only about a 4 hour drive for us (it's in Sevierville/Knoxville TN). We needed something chill for a "babymoon", so we took a chance.

It was wonderful! Exactly what we were looking for. It's no Hobbiton, it's not Lotr branded at all, though HEAVILY themed. We do plan to go to NZ when our kid is old enough, but man, this place pretty cool for being just in our backyard.

The last 5 photos are from our first visit in early spring 2024 in room "grimlin den" when the place was pretty new, and the others are from our SECOND visit June 2026, in the "Orc family house".

They have several social events, you can sign up to do archery and axe throwing, which we did the first visit. They also cater a fancy dinner. There are also games and social gathering places, Commons area house.

But we're shut ins, so what did we do? Watch LOTR on an old school DVD player lol. The first year we watched Fellowship, the second year we got mostly through two towers. We're hoping to get a group going so we can rent the BIG dwelling or stay in the treehouse, and ofc finish the series!

It's probably pricier than your average cabin in the woods, but everything is solid and legit as you see it. The big door on our room this year was SO HEAVY. Dinner is chefs choice, but it's been good and plenty both times.

Feel free to dm me questions if you think you might visit. This is not a paid promotion, I'm not part of the venue, and I've actually been procrastinating a long time to post this lol. We have just had a great time there and I hope to share the load with other folks that might be in the vicinity.

Edit: I meant East TN, my bad 🫠

I'm working on helping my husband put together a Brasso cosplay for dragoncon (we're going as holo-Maarva and Brasso) and I made this interesting discovery in researching the costume.
