replace my Rolla

Hey everyone,

Our Corolla was recently written off and I’m honestly devastated. It was a good, reliable car and this has all happened much sooner than expected :((

We’re going down the green-loan route, so we’re only considering eligible hybrids in roughly the $20k–$30k range.

The new Chery Tiggo 4 Hybrid has caught my eye at around $30k. It seems like a lot of car for the money, with good space for golf clubs and a long warranty.

The question is whether it makes more sense than buying a used hybrid. If we went used, what should we be comparing it against in this price range? Love cars but I am almost clueless when it comes to hybrids/ev's - Im initially more attached to Hyrbrids as well

Has anyone driven or owned the Tiggo 4 Hybrid? Interested in real-world fuel economy, reliability, dealer support etc and whether you think the new-car warranty makes it worth choosing over an established used hybrid.

Based in Christchurch if anybody can reccomend good used car dealers for Hybrids/EVS too, cheers!

Roof inspections

Heya guys,

Does anyone have a roofer in Christchurch they’d genuinely recommend for an inspection?

Not really after quotes etc more just someone who’ll tell me if anything needs fixing, maintenance etc, rather than trying to sell me a new roof, as there’s something obvious to my eyes, more for peace of mind!

Obv expecting/happy to pay for their time. Bonus if they’re familiar with older homes and internal guttering.
