Hello everyone! I'm Allen, developer of SCM (Screen Memory). SCM is an open-source AI visual library search engine for macOS — 100% local.

Problem I'm solving:
my photo library is a graveyard — thousands of IMG_1234s, screenshots mixed with real photos, and videos where I know the moment exists but can't find it. Built-in search only matches filenames/dates, and anything smarter means uploading my life to someone's cloud. I wanted to type what I actually remember — a vibe, a scene, a spoken line, text on a sign — and land on the exact shot, with nothing ever leaving my Mac.

What's SCM

It indexes your photos and videos with local models (CLIP / SigLIP2) and lets you search in plain language — "retro-style devices" or "a few men at a party" jumps straight to the image or exact video scene.

Five search modes: Files / Scenes / OCR / Dialogue (exact Whisper spoken-line search) + LLMs (opt-in local chat over your library with citations). Save any query as a tab.

Search in a selected view: tabs aren't just browsing — they're search scopes. Select Screenshots, Email, Videos, or any saved tab and every query stays inside it. Scope first, then search. In LLMs chat it's explicit: start with /screenshots, /videos, or /email to narrow the corpus before the model runs.

It’s an iOS app I’ve been building as a solo developer that turns your AirPods into a real-time posture coach — giving you gentle nudges to sit better, move more, and reduce neck strain throughout the day.

I originally built AirPosture as a simple tool to improve posture using devices people already wear every day — not as another subscription app. Since the beta launch, it’s been used in over 100,000 sessions worldwide, which made me rethink my priorities. More than revenue, I care about helping as many people as possible build healthier habits.

Recently, I’ve also seen unofficial “AirPosture” apps with aggressive paywalls and even malware impersonating the project, which has complicated App Store review and confused users. Rather than fight this behind closed doors, I’m making the whole project completely transparent.
