Any recommendations for strings that have a darker or more bass forward sound?

I’m currently using Savarez carbon trebles and really like them. But the bass strings don’t really project. Any recommendations? I know it can be guitar dependent, but if you’ve tried a few and can offer any input I’d love the feedback.

Semi-crazy generator question.

I’m without power for a day or two (storms). I have 5kw generator, enough to power the fridge, a sump pump and some minor things like phone charging.
The highly questionable idea is to make a double male power”suicide” cord, run it into a non GFI outlet from the generator, turn off the main breaker panel and all other breakers but the one or two things I want to power. Assuming those breakers would be on the same bus bar as the outlet I’m plugged into.

Would that work? Will the one breaker getting power from the generator care that current is running backwards?

I’m also assuming my 120v output from the generator is protected and won’t exceed 15a per plug (using only one plug from the generator).

As nutty as this may sound, is this viable as an easier way to swap power to devices without running cords everywhere? Or am I asking for trouble (likely)?

Which brokerage firms have physical offices (in USA) besides Fidelity and Schwab?

I'm looking to use two brokerage firms, just because I like the option. And I'm a bit old school and still like the option to visit an office on the rare times it's needed. Any other institutions have a physical presence?

Nautilus and Water Pump question..

I had a leak in my water pump, even though I was hooked up to city water, and the Nautilus was set to city water. Replacing the water pump resolved it. But what I don’t understand is why is there water being routed to the output side of the water pump at all when the Nautilus is set to city water?

I disconnected the output line that comes from the water pump (see picture, it would be the left side of the pump) and then I tried turning the green knob in both directions, and with city water turned on I had water at that flex pipe to the water pump no matter which way the green valve is. I even cycled the white and blue valve directions and still had water to the output side of that pump. It would seem that I shouldn’t have water to the output side of that pump when set to city water.

Anyone have a clue what’s going on?

I think that when you’re on city water the green valve should be turned to the right, and that should stop city water ever getting to the water pump.

So is this drawing incorrect or can anyone explain why I have city water at the output side of the pump when set to city water.
