DAE get random, fleeting flashes of feeling total freedom and clarity? What is this?

I’m trying to figure out if there’s a word for a really specific feeling I get every once in a while.

I was doing yoga before bed tonight, and out of nowhere this sudden vision and physical feeling hit me. I pictured myself somewhere like DC, just somewhere that felt real and established. But more than the place, it was this intense feeling of pure freedom. Freedom of movement, freedom of mind, freedom to just be who I really want to be. I felt accomplished, grounded, happy, and completely in control of my life.

It wasn't a daydream, it was a visceral feeling that just washed over me out of nowhere.

The second I noticed it happening and tried to hold onto it, it slipped away and as soon as I snapped back to reality, my regular daily life felt so flat and repetitive by comparison.

Has anyone else ever experienced these brief, intense flashes of total freedom and accomplishment? Is there a psychological or spiritual term for this, or a way to make sense of it when it fades? What does it mean? Thanks in advance :-)

RENAISSANCE vs B’DAY20

I was skeptical of the rumours that the B’DAY20 images were reshot recently.

Now I’m not so sure… what do y’all think?

I am mad and sad

I have always said that I am never a fan of a PERSON, but a fan of the music they create. But one thing that Petal has made me realize is that I cannot continue to support music that isn't created by a person I respect.

I came across Ariana for the first time when Baby I was trending on iTunes in 2013, I was 10. Ever since then, every album has been exciting to me. Sweetener really took things further because I was so enamored by this new creativity she was empowered by. Her voice is what I would call once-in-a-generation talent, and I was so inspired.

Just to further prove my point that I am a fan of her music and not actually her (because I don't know her personally), I didn't really pay attention to Wicked (only saw once on streaming, haven't seen For Good yet) but was excited for her because this was her dream come true. Obviously that's when the weight and appearance concerns started, but I think we all dismissed it as a busy work schedule or something she was going through briefly and thought nothing of it.

Beyoncé is another artist I deeply respect. In fact, she is my favorite vocalist/artist of all time. One thing I notice about her career, is that while her earlier music had a large focus on relationship drama and teaming up with the side chick and getting revenge on an ex, she marked a point (self-titled?) where she started to express love and empowerment and being who you want to be while also valuing ancestry and history. That is when she became the victor in her own life and chose peace. Even though Lemonade was a heavily emotional album, she came out victorious in the end and never brought it up again, signaling true healing.

My point is that Eternal Sunshine ended up becoming my favorite album of hers. After years of trauma (Nickelodeon, Manchester, Mac, the divorce), she was releasing her pain once and for all. It felt like an official goodbye to the past, and moving to a future of confidence, empowerment, and love. She even marketed it as her "healing" album and the visuals made that very clear. I was listening to this album EVERY DAY because I felt so much comfort in knowing this was a true healing era. Until the day Petal came out.

I thought her next album would be monumental. Her official peace album. Her victory album. Her new life and love album that doesn't bring up the past. But instead, we went BACKWARDS on the healing track, and right back into drama, rage, egocentric lyricism, and another claim of "healing". But one thing I notice about this album is that there is no actual declaration of healing from the feelings she described in the lyrics. There was no moving on, and even on the songs that sound "happier", the lyrics are so vague and surface-level and incomplete that I cannot believe them. Also want to add that the voice that captured an entire generation is nowhere to be found on this album. She is no longer having fun creating music, but now using it as a crutch to pretend she's healing, and it's damaging her, and her listeners, further.

Basically what I'm saying is that now knowing that Eternal Sunshine was a fake declaration of healing, I have not been able to return to it. I cannot return to it knowing that the cycle of pain didn't end. I sound dramatic, but I am told that I am a HSP (highly sensitive person). I take music and the meaning behind it very seriously. When I listen to Petal, I get the complete opposite feeling of Eternal Sunshine. I feel scared listening to it, like MY life is ending in a way. The vibes are actually wrong to me. Now, I feel mad and sad that my favorite album has been ruined by this.

All this to say, I need a complete break from her. Regarding her current condition, I don't know when the damage will become so bad that there will be no point of return, but I have a feeling in me that that we've reached that point already. She may fear irrelevancy, but if she took a whole 10 years to actually heal, she would come back so much stronger and we will actually respect her for it. We cannot respect what is happening right now. I am incredibly scared for her as a human being.

My advice to all who are sensitive to her condition like I am: please step away now. For your own health and safety, this cannot even be low priority in your life. It has to exit completely.

That's all. <3

We already have 2/3 lead singles for act iii

We got 1 lead single for Renaissance (Break My Soul) and 2 for Cowboy Carter (Texas Hold 'Em / 16 Carriages). It’s natural to think we might get 3 whole songs for act iii before the album drops. Personally, I didn't think she'd want to do that since it would be such a big chunk of the album.

HOWEVER, I had a thought a few days ago. Look at the complete release timeline of this trilogy so far:

  • DELRESTO (ECHOES)
  • Break My Soul
  • RENAISSANCE
  • MY HOUSE
  • Texas Hold 'Em / 16 Carriages
  • COWBOY CARTER
  • act iii lead single(s)
  • act iii

Notice how there are two specific songs not officially connected to the albums? One dropped right before Renaissance, and one right before Cowboy Carter... little miss unpredictable may have struck again!

DELRESTO (ECHOES) and MY HOUSE are actually tracks from act iii**.**

Before you start throwing your tomatoes, hear me out:

DELRESTO (ECHOES)

  • One thing I can’t help but notice is that the song starts incredibly suddenly, almost as if it’s transitioning from a previous track. But on Travis Scott’s Utopia, the song before it ends completely before DELRESTO starts. It feels like it wasn't originally made for Utopia at all.
  • Beyoncé's vocals are giving major Amy Lee (Evanescence) in the best way possible. It's haunting, yet contained. If act iii is rock/alternative, Amy Lee would absolutely be a blueprint inspiration. Around the 2:40 mark, Bey shifts into a vocal genre that I can't quite describe, but it screams act iii.
  • "Hey now, you will report to me" sounds heavily connected to the Mind Control and American Poem interludes from the tours.
  • The cover artwork for DELRESTO is a newspaper for the "Betty Black Tour." We later saw that exact same detail on one of her outfits for CCT. Plus, at the bottom of that newspaper is a picture of Bey from the Renaissance photoshoot/promo.
  • I think we could get a version of ECHOES on act iii without Travis Scott's DELRESTO as it was in parenthesis.

MY HOUSE

  • Let's be real, I don't think this song completely fits the Renaissance era. She starts off with a very aggressive, rap-rock-like delivery, and later shifts into a massive choral arrangement. Gospel and choral arrangements are the exact foundational roots that gave birth to rock and roll.
  • "Let love heal us all." We've been seeing a lot of love imagery recently, the biggest being the Valentine's Day merch and the "Lady Bey" text. I've also noticed a lot of upside-down spades (which look like hearts), including the cover art for Texas Hold 'Em where she is wearing a spade... in a certain location. (Though being a card game, that one fits CC best).
  • Since it has SOME electronic/house elements, I think MY HOUSE could be one of the last few songs on the act iii tracklist to serve as the transition between act iii and RENAISSANCE. This is supporting my claim that RENAISSANCE was originally supposed to be act iii (find the post on my account!)

Now, it could easily be argued that neither of these songs perfectly fits a potential rock theme. But at the end of the day: "Genres are a funny little concept, aren't they?"

Anywho, I just wanted to get this out into the universe. This is all just for fun, so please don't be annoying in the comments. I love being in the trenches with you all and can't wait to experience whatever act iii is together. ❤️

EDIT: someone pointed out that DELRESTO came out a year after RENAISSANCE. That is correct! I forgot 1 important piece of info, Travis Scott’s album Utopia was originally slated for release sometime in 2021 but was delayed due to the Astroworld incident. My thought is that Bey framing ECHOES as a feature instead of making it her own song wouldn’t have brought any suspicion on her own upcoming project. But it was secret act iii planning 8-)

Marian Anderson Connection

Hey Y’all!

I was watching The First Lady on Showtime where there is an episode that showed Marian Anderson’s performance in front of the Lincoln Memorial in response to segregation.

I couldn’t help but remember the Heated performance on the RWT with all those microphones around Bey.

I know she’s referenced Marian Anderson at Homecoming and CCT, but was wondering if this is a likely connection as well? What do you think?

Thank you :)
