is there any point to this?

hey there folks! ive been wondering recently as to what are advantages, if any, of having a gun designed like this? i didnt really know how to google this so i decided to ask some people who know more about this type of stuff than i do.

if you want to know why, im something of a amateur writer and im working on a novel set in the near-ish future and this is what the pistols in my novel would look like if there is any actual, practical functionality to this other than "it just looks cool" lol

that being said this IS a videogame weapon, specifically call of duty, and you know how videogame logic goes: "if it looks cool then thats all we need"

Morro Rock radio is goated for many reasons, but mainly because we can hear Mr. Mike Pondsmith himself talking about conspiracy theories and im the type of choom who could listen to Mike talking about cyberpunk for hours. i was just about to go visit jeff and liz peralez to talk about a bad dream that jeff had the other night and i stopped to listen about mike talking about an old runner friend of his, and they were sharing a bottle of booze, and then this runner gal, who he couldnt name "for national and international security reasons" but i thought it was alt, started to spill about how the net was hell, and daemons werent called that for no reason, and how netwatch had its origins in the VATICAN of all places. it was such a short story, like most of his stories, but its a perfect example of how less is more because while you WANT to know more, it would lift the veil of mystery over the whole thing. i never heard this particular story before, so ill probably keep thinking about for the rest of the day
