I'm going to sound like a total childish wimp for saying this but personally I don't like what they're doing with Slushi's character (the nsfw is for mature topics)

So, is it just me or does anyone else dislike the sexualization of Slushi's character right now? I'm going to admit, I have kind of selfish reasons for why I don't like it, but I just want to get it off my chest. When I first discovered Chikn Nuggit way back in like 2021 I was just a kid and Slushi was my favorite. I adored her kind personality, and she felt mor innocent. But now, I feel like her episodes are more sexual, for example the 'milk me' one, the one where she was reading manga while wagging her tail, the episode where she showed Chee her sketchbook... This isn't a one time thing, like half of the newer episodes containing Slushi involve some sexual alludation. I get it can be relateable for some people but I feel like Chikn Nuggit is a show with more of a younger audience so it gets me irritated sometimes. I don't mean to sound like a prick but it's kind of ruining her character for me. What do you guys think?

I was honestly NOT expecting Chikn Nuggit to be mentioned in these type of posts, like, ever TwT but at least we're getting some rep!

I was looking at the mod list for r/Multifandom and one of them is actually a Chikn Nuggit fan and posts in this sub! So cool!

Unloved Eyes and Uncertain Lies

I don't desire to meet them, for the worth of that is none-

I don't share what possesses the beauty of the sun.

But when its rays shine on you with gentleness I can't find,

I can't help myself but feel a little too intertwined.

I don't know if your squinting from the brightness from the sky,

Or if those crinkles are from the unevenness in your raw smile.

When the light descends itself into your depths,

I see the supposed truth of you that I won’t accept.

For brown is made of everything mundane,

Yet I don’t get how boring runs in our veins.

Brown is filled of dirt, and of bark, and of stone,

And below that small life that is not alone.

Brown runs into the vastness of a coffee too bitter

That warmed your heart in the wind of winter.

Brown tears at the edges of old, crinkled notes

That wouldn't last through someone else’s throats.

Brown buries itself in the plainest of plaid,

But a uniform holds memories and is now all that we have.

Don’t assume I turn away because you are stale,

But between you and I, you're too perfect to fail.

All this I know with just shimmers in your skin and eyes,

You may seem average but I say those are lies.

(I'd appreciate feedback on this poem! The poem is not only about brown eyes but about browness and being a person of color in general as I am one, but I'm not sure if that message is getting across in the poem, so yeah, I'd love some help!)

My honest opinion on the whole "Onyn's hometown isn't bad, he just needs to look on the bright side!" theory... (PLEASE READ)

Okay, this is going to be more of a serious, long, and important discussion, but please hang on for it. Chikn Nuggit may be fictional, but like all works of art, it is based on and inspired by real people and real situations. The goal of this discussion isn't to have on anyone who agrees with this theory, it is just my honest opinion that I have built using both the universe of Chikn Nuggit and real life circumstances.

If you are active in this subreddit, or just the Chikn Nuggit fandom and lore in general, you have probably heard this theory being bounced around. The idea that Onyn Ring is exagerrating his situation, and that he needs to learn how to be grounded back into reality. I understand why people may think this theory is true and reasonable- and it might be. But I respectfully disagree, and I have my reasons.

This is going to sound irrelevant, but I promise I will tie it in later. My parents were born and grew up in India, and I was born there. They weren't exactly in poverty, but living in a third-world country is unfortunately not ideal. They decided to move to the US when I was two years old, both for my dad's work and for the well-being of me. They moved away from our whole family and were bold enough to start anew. My mom worked tirelessly taking care of me until she got a job, and my dad worked long hours- he would oftentimes not be able to come home until 1 or 2 in the morning. Moving required sacrificing our family and my parents' comfort of their home and financial stability. When we came to the US, we were at first just getting by. In Onyn's words, "not exactly rolling in money." But because they worked so hard to make life better for our family we are now living very comfortably. They tried their best to give me a childhood/teenhood they didn't have, and I am forever grateful for that.

Onyn Ring, despite being a fictional character, reminds me so much of the situation me and my family were in. We can't deny that he worked extremely hard to study the prophecies and the demigod. Is that healthy? No. Is he kind of obsessed? Yes. Should he give Chikn some space and recognize that he is his own person and that there are some things he just cannot solve? Also yes. But ultimately, his intentions aren't selfish. He wants a better life for him and the others in his city. Everyone should be able to want a better situation, and they should also be able to work for that. I'm not trying to get all nerdy here, but it's even written in the US constitution- everyone has the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Those are inalienable rights. (My history teacher really drilled that into my head, lol.) If my parents hadn't worked hard and desired something more, we would not have been here today.

If there is one pattern I have noticed about first-world countries, it is that some people don't recognize the privilege they have. Like I said before, this is not to target and belittle ANYBODY. I myself have issues when it comes to recognizing my own privilege. And, like I said before, it is natural to want more. But it is unfortunately normalized to look down on people with low income, people who are immigrants, people who are homeless, etc etc. They might say that it is their fault for their situation, and that they just need to be happy with what they have. This normalization is nobody's fault, but it is the result of the capitalistic society we live in today. We shouldn't villanize people who want more out of their lives, as long as they are trying to do so in ethical ways. The goal of this wasn't to glaze Onyn Ring, but to simply explain the situation of people like him in real life. Honestly, I wouldn't mind at all if being content was one of the messages of the lore, but I do hope that isn't the main idea that they end up revolving this lore arc around. If anyone would like to feel a perspective of what this character's situation and similar ones are like, I really reccomend reading Front Desk. It may be a middle-grade book, but in my opinion, it is a heartwarming and accurate representation of what "wanting more" looks like. Thank you so much for reading. I hope this has provided a new look on the Chikn Nuggit lore, and have an amazing day. <3

I'm kind of a loser and I don't know what to do.

Harsh title, I know. But that doesn't diminish the fact that I am. I do everything, but I'm good at nothing. I've been doing piano for 7 years and I'm way behind everyone else. I've been trying to write a book for a year and a half, but I'm not even eight thousand words in. I've been doing tennis for 3 years (it has been on and off, but still) and I can't even make a serve all the time. I do speech competitions all the time, but I've never gotten first place once. And, the cherry on top, today was the day I realized I was a loser. I have done many musicals in the past, but never gotten a decent role once. I practiced so hard for this one, listening to the soundtracks, watching others perform, recording myself singing, and I auditioned and really tried. I didn't even get a callback. ALL my friends did. It seems that I don't have talent for anything I'm passionate about. I'm going into high school in two months, and I need to have at least something impressive that others will care about, especially teachers and colleges. Also, I really want to make my parents proud. I know they hate how talentless and lazy I am. I'm a complete waste of their time. I mean, they paid nearly a thousand dollars for this theatre camp, and I can't even get a good role. (I know, roles haven't been casted yet, but let's be honest, you can't get a good role if you don't even get a callback.) I want to know how I can be productive and be superior at something, anything. How do I stay focused, and actually be good at my passions/find my talents?

Is it worth reading Percy Jackson now that the series might be coming to an end? [general]

I'm doing a theatre production of The Lightning Thief right now, and I love it. I really want to read the books (I've read the first two, but that was years ago.) Should I get into the books even when it might be ending soon? I've been hearing from everyone that it was going to end when that one College Reccomendation trilogy is completed. I hate getting attached to something that is about to end. Is it worth it? I just really wish I wasn't late to this book series/universe in general...lol

Has anyone else in this sub gotten "Chikn Nuggit brainrot?"

Like, I swear, I can't even look at a picture of a chicken nugget or hear the word "cheeseburger" without thinking of the dog and the cat. I even spell the words wrong too, I spell them like the characters, so I have to go back and fix them every time. I mean, I've been heavily involved in this show and the fandom for years now so honestly can you blame me? But yeah, I hope I'm not the only one, because otherwise that would be reallyyyyy embarrassing.

I really want to make a high school Chikn Nuggit AU!

So, I’m going into high school in September, plus I’m already making a story about my non-CN ocs that are in high school, so I think I’ll make a high school AU as a fun little side project! I’ll probably post it on Ao3, it will be totally SFW so don’t worry. I’ll also include the runaway pony oc in there as well (if you know, you know… and if you don’t, look in my earlier posts.) None of the main characters are adults, yes, even the immortals. The story will alternate between POVs. I’m probably going to keep the canon ships in the AU. Here are the roles I am thinking for the characters:

Chikn- first pov character, nice popular boy, loves his friends and is just trying to graduate school. but why is he and his friends getting magic powers all of a sudden…?

Chee- second pov character, not popular but not unpopular, Chikns bestie and is a bit insecure but very sweet and tries her best at school

Iscream- third pov character, undercover demon, class clown/troublemaker, frenemies with Hawt Saus, not really taking anything seriously

Fwench Fwy- fourth pov character, jock who loves basketball, really nice and good morals, doesn’t tolerate disrespect, trying to keep everything calm

Slushi- fifth pov, weird kid but totally owns it, dyes her hair too much, babysits Sody a lot, makes art in her free time and is the best student in AP art and design, somehow gets good grades but it is a mystery to all

Sody- sixth pov, tags along with Slushi at school events, extremely hyperactive and kind of annoying but in a good way, goes through regular elementary school drama

Cofi- seventh pov, total outcast but very cool, dresses goth but wears pink sometimes, is actually popular within her outcast friend group, nice once you get to know her, trying to juggle all her responsibilities at once

Onyn Ring- eigth pov, absolute nerd with a 5.5 gpa somehow, introvert but can talk about the things he likes for hours, kind of obsessed with the whole magic power thing but everyone thinks he is delulu

Hawt Saus (I know he isn't really a main character but come on he basically is at this point)- ninth pov, school bully, short af, lonely but doesn't want to admit it, doesn't really care about school, pulls pranks on everyone

Milkshek (same with Hawt)- tenth pov, besties with Slushi, kind of a freak in a good way, loves doing her and other's makeup, always pulls the ugliest guys at school somehow, good crafter

Bezel- eleventh pov, school professor, characters either hate him, chill with him, or have a crush on him (but not in a creepy way), DO NOT SHIP HIM WITH ANY OF THE CHARACTERS IN THIS AU BECAUSE THIS IS A HIGH SCHOOL, definitely mysterious and up to something, pulls up every day in a suit

I know these are all school stereotypes but that is kind of the point lol. It's supposed to sound like something Slushi would write. The main plot will be handling magic powers but there will be a lot of school sideplots such as college applications, drama, mean teachers, etc etc. I will also add side characters such as Pomm, but they will not be pov characters. What do you guys think? Would you read this? :)

Hey so the new lore episode was actually kind of peak?!

I LOVE the personality we got out of them this episode. they feel so much less one-dimensional now. Onyns anxious, Chikns frustrated, and seeing their flaws makes them feel more like real people. I also liked how this episode was more confrontational. what did you guys think?

How do I deal with holding a secret about myself ALL the time by being in the closet?!

So, I'm bisexual, but there's only maybe a couple people in my life that actually know about this, and because I'm moving schools, I'm probably not going to talk to any of them as often anymore. I'm far too scared to tell others, especially my family (they might be homophobic but I'm not sure, they'll also probably say that I'm being influenced by my friends or something. I'm also not in the mood to be kicked out.) On top of this, I'm going to a Catholic school next year, which will mean that I'll have to be even more in the closet to avoid allegations that can seriously impact my education. If the teachers find out, they won't like me, and if they don't like me, they'll give me bad grades and reccomendations, and if I get bad grades and reccomendations, I can't go to a good college, and if I can't go to a good college, I can't get a good job- I think you see where this is heading. But feeling like I'm keeping a secret all the time is SO exausting. How do I cope with this?

I know I already made a rant post about this but I'm a hater so read if you want...

Okay but the fact that Onyn Ring has so much potential as a character, but all the ChiknRing fanservice overshadows it? Look, I have no problem with the ship, as a matter of fact I ship it myself, but I don't care about it as much as I care about Onyn's character as a whole. We know practically NOTHING about him besides he wants to start a "beneficial" apocolypse, he doesn't fancy his hometown, and his social skills are in the dirt. I don't understand why the CN team doesn't bring out more in him. I feel like he had way more character back before him and Chikn started their trip to Onyn's hometown. I miss how he had a sassy and very passionate and bold personality. It showed in those earlier episodes when he was just talking to himself or other characters not really related to the lore that much, such as Hawt Saus and Slushi (okay but the fact that he has never met Cofi yet? But that's a totally different convo). He just feels so watered down now. I wish we could see more of his personality and less shipping content, we don't need him getting flustered every 5 seconds, it's kind of cringe when it's overdone. I just want to see more of his true self outside of lore episodes with Chikn. What about you guys?

Don't get me wrong, I like Chikn x Onyn, but we NEED to talk...

If you have been following the lore, you know that there are many scenes where Chikn says something and Onyn gets flustered. And I don't really care, whatever, it's okay. But the FANSERVICE is absolutely insane. This is just my opinion, but I am getting frusterated with this series because we have way more ChiknRing scenes in the lore than we have for, well, the ACTUAL lore. The episodes are starting to feel like filler. I love this ship and its dynamic, but there are a bunch of different ways to portray it besides having Onyn blush like every 5 seconds. For example, for the new lore episode could have just had the scene were Onyn says "enjoy the scenery" if you know what I mean, and skipped the little flirting thing entirely. Actually, remove all the blushing from the lore episodes, and I think the ship would have actually been better and seemed more genuine. So, instead of just adding ChiknRing to every lore episode for filler, here are some things I think should be done instead:

  1. An honest talk between Chikn and Onyn with no romantic undertones
  2. A slip-up that nearly causes Fwench Fwy and Iscream to realize they have been fooling each other
  3. A flashback or a hint of Onyn's backstory (which we have gotten NOTHING of, btw...)
  4. A monolouge of just one of the character's secret thoughts without anyone else involved
  5. Iscream thinking of ideas to cause mischief
  6. A clue to how Chikn originated on the planet
  7. Onyn revealing information about his studies about the Demigod
  8. A scene of how the rest of the gang is doing without Chikn and their other pals
  9. Iscream's and Fwench Fwy's overlords watching the two

...and many more. There are SO many options that we can have for episodes that actually contribute to the lore. What more ideas do you guys have for lore scenes? It would be cool to know, and I would like to make a long list of other lore ideas besides filler. Thanks.

I'm making a chikn nuggit pony OC in honor of a local pony in my town... any suggestions on how to make her?

Basically, I live in a semi-rural town, so some people own farms here. Recently, I found out that someone in our town found a real-life pony in their driveway, and posted about it to the town's Facebook page trying to figure out whose pony it was. So, in honor of the runaway pony, I am making an oc for her in this fandom and will post regularly about her. I've already decided that she's a girl, because idk she just gave me that vibe, and her color will be the same color she was originally. Despite this, I would still like advice. Any suggestions on how to make her, like lore, design, etc? I would appreciate it! (Anyways stay tuned for some pony lore!)

I've been looking for that one episode where fwench fwy calls iscream a "little edgy edgelord," because I thought it was funny and I want to use it as a reaction picture. However, I can't find it anywhere. Does anyone know what episode it was?
