Update: fishbone cactus roots

I posted recently about my slightly struggling fishbone cactus and decided to investigate the roots. The original post is here:
https://www.reddit.com/r/EpiphyticCacti/s/YXtdLiTEg5

I discovered that’s it actually 7 completely separate plants. Each with a very shallow, small root system. There was no rot by feel or smell and nothing to indicate why some of the leaves are being auto-amputated.

I think I’ll repot them in a shallower pot and give each one more of their own space. We’ll see how it goes.

Edit: Repotted pics below. Fingers crossed!

It worked! Thank you!

I tried in the past to get my pothos on a moss pole and did it all wrong. You all straightened me out and look at her now!! Thank you!

What is this?

My maranta is happy overall, lots of new growth and currently flowering. She has made this long woody tentacle with what looks a tiny plant at the end? Almost like a keiki if it were an orchid. What do you think?

What’s wrong with my fishbone?

My fishbone cactus is strange - a lot of the leaves are firm and healthy but others are wrinkled and dying especially the small outer ones. It’s in a chunky soil in a dappled but bright window. I water it when the leaves soften, about every 3 weeks.

I haven’t unpotted to check the roots- probably should do that next.

Thanks for your suggestions!

Birkin leaves browning

Hi, my birkin’s new leaves are browning. Is it sun damage because they are white? It is in a north window in chunky soil. I soak it when the leaves soften. This is an offshoot from a plant that died and is 2-3 yrs old. Thank you for your advice.

When to repot moss poles?

I have two plants I put on moss poles a few months ago. They are growing roots nicely into the moss and appear healthy and happy. Both have lots of roots growing out of the pot. Should I repot or is it better to let the bottom part be root bound? Thank you for your advice!

Orchid cactus glochids???

My Disocactus ackermannii has the wickedest glochids of any of my plants except my Opuntia. Imagine my surprise when the internet (in several locations) informed me that these do not have glochids. What do you all say? Is mine just special?
