Anyone else prefer the natives in RDR1 than in RDR2?

This isn’t meant to be politically charged or anything, it’s just me loving RDR1 and it’s story

I finished RDR2 recently, and while the chapter with the natives was great, it just seems to fall into the same cliche of the poor Indian who just needs a savior. There’s this weird depiction of the natives elves who live in perfect harmony and balance with nature.

RDR1 had a far more refreshing take on them, most of them were people who grew up on reservations and had went to school, they probably had a higher education than the average American. Nastas especially is portrayed as an intelligent and patient person, without being a mystical medicine man.

The game is also one of the few to put the natives in a moral grey, even though their lands were stolen, they’re an organized gang who rally behind a mass murderer.

Also they’re not shown to be helpless, they have hundreds of men, a fortress in the mountains and guns and horses rather than bows and axes.

Rant over, I love RDR1

Landship I love you so much

Just wanted to profess my love for Squad Support & tank hunter landship

Clan stackers? Just shoot the floor next to them
Flankers? Rear gun
AT mines? Shoot once and they’re gone
Team is losing? Mobile spawn point
Enemy planes? You’re in a metal box
Enemy tanks? You have two cannons (sometimes 3)

I love this sm and wish more ppl ran it

It’s crazy to me Bill was greeting guests HIMSELF

It’s wild to me that Bill, a guy with a gang of ~100 men was waiting at the front door for people himself, it’s like going to buy coke and El Chapo himself gives you the bag.

Imagine if Fordham or Ross just waited in a bush with a sniper or something, they could’ve saved John the entire first half of the game

Dutch lives on a mountain and just wears a shirt

I just realised that his whole gang is dressed in coats, furs, vests, meanwhile Dutch is in his summer outfit.

Its a bit weird, but this is the same Dutch who apparently owned a car and lived in a cave filled with fine furniture and a pile of human bones

In chapter 6, Javier will walk over to Micah and ask to chat, they huddle together and whisper something. Then they both laugh and shake hands.

If Arthur gets close during this, Micah tells him it’s a private conversation. And afterward will tell Arthur, “that boy ain’t dumb”

I’m curious if anyone knows what they said/thinks they know what was said, because this seems like the moment Javier chose his side.
